...the Audrey Seiler case really " tainted" how the police are going about looking for Kelly Nolan. I am not excusing the lack of information, but rather am commenting on what I think may be going on. For those of you not familiar with the Seiler case, here is some background:

I do not think that this case is a similar situation, but I do think the police are being cautious.

Perhaps there was specific information about where she was going and the police have asked them not to discuss it.

What makes you say that Audrey Seiler has "tainted" how the police investigate young missing college girls in Madison? I'd like to know what information you're going on, because I've not found this to be true.

I'm just saying that they're being very cautious about releasing information. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

Hmmmm...hadn't thought about drugs...I was thinking too much to drink or good lookin' guy. Initially I read she had been fired, last night that was corrected, and tonight I read again that she was fired... but April doesn't
want to discuss her employment either. If she told April where she was headed I would think that would be a great clue to tell everyone as it might jog memories.

Because I used to work in the field, I know that the police in Madison are VERY concerned that they don't give that impression. Audrey Seiler is a really, really sore spot with everyone here, but they would absolutely rather err on the side of caution, even if it means repeating the incident.

me too.....i just watched NG & i could swear the other night on Greta's show, Kelly's sister said it was only rumor that Kelly was fired, but tonight on NG's show, it was mentioned that Kelly was fired 2 days before she went missing, & the sister didn't contradict this....

as I read these stories and here, it seems like so many parents (people) do not know where to turn to when faced with this crisis. the amber alert is good for under 18 or so, but...there needs to be more work done for over 18.

There must have been a reason for this lovely 22 yr. old college girl to be fired from her job.

Her friends know the reason and so does her sister.

Could it be the same reason she wasn't ready to call it a night at 11:30 PM when her friends were ready to go home?

Why won't her sister tell what was said in that late phone call and instructs others not to tell any information of where Kelly was or what she said?

The only reason I can think of them wanting to cover for her is drugs or intoxication.

It is possible that she has a drinking problem, and being fired may have caused her to become chronically depressed, making her a danger to herself! It's a possibility.

Meanwhile, having the sister interviewed by the media is a waste of time, since she has nothing to say!!!

i love gretta. i am glad she is the spokesperson to track the missing and fox. could she have said something to her sister about who she was leaving with? is a possibility that the sister has told the police but cannot tell anyone else?

You're right. It's a waste of time now as she's probably told us all she can or wants to. She did say a day or two ago that Kelly was very happy during the phone call...so maybe not depressed.

Reward being offered.
Substantial reward for information leading to return of Kelly.
Bar had tapes for inside and outside of the bar. Turned over to police but never viewed by bar owner/person.
Megan, friend, works with Kelly at Madison Club. Kelly was happy, nothing unusual, on day she went missing. Kelly was on the more responsible side. Not unusual to separate from friends at bar. Kelly would never take off. Completely out of character for her.
That was it.

could be drugs, could be a drinking problem. Maybe she was raped and confided in her sister?

Whatever it is, this case sure is weird.

. how is the parking lot of this bar? well lit? .......i still tend to think she met a new (evil) not known to her aquaintence.....i pray for her and her family.

yes, she is stable, but the jar of a job loss might have still made her make bad decisions, especially w/a really smooth act....

No parking lot for bar. Not uncommon in downtown Madison. As previous posts mentioned, she probably didn't drive that night.

However, public parking lots are VERY well-lit as are other areas in downtown - more so than other cities. But of course there are lots of dark spots. Plus, there's generally a lot of people around late at night, although less so in summer.

This is the wackiest investigation yet.

The family is secretive about - Kelly's last known whereabouts - who she was with - her last phone call
and now even the amount of the reward.

But , not to worry, Mary Jane (Kelly's Mother) is quoted now as saying she is "absolutely sure Kelly will be found"!
