Ex-Husband Says Missing Mom, Who Moonlighted as Escort, Planned on Meeting Clients th
The first husband of missing mom Paige Birgfeld says his ex-wife visited him the night she disappeared, and that she was planning on keeping two appointments with escort-service clients before heading home, according to an exclusive interview with FOX31-TV in Denver.
Howard Beigler also said he doubted he would ever again see his former wife, who vanished three weeks ago.
Investigators are not focusing their investigation on Beigler, the station reported, though they have not cleared him or Birgfeld's second ex-husband, Rob Dixon, as suspects.

I thought I heard on Greta's show last night that the neighbors say the man is a mechanic and lives there with his wife. Seemed like your normal nice, quiet guy. The neighbors also said they don't recall seeing anyone looking like Paige in their neighborhood or at that home.
The fact that it's the 2nd search gives me goosebumps though. This is such a strange case....

The house is owned by a woman named Elaine J. Jones. Doesn't mean she lives there necessarily, just that she is on record as owning it.
I have been trying to learn why the volunteer search has been on Highway 50. Obviously it was fruitful, as they found personal belongings there, but her home is some distance from there as were all her reported activities of that day. Does anyone know why the search started there?

The very last reporter on Greta's show tonight said that Lester Jones was confirmed to them (radio station news?) as a client of Paige's.
I still have a hard time with ex-H#1 being the last one to see her alive, and he's giving all these details about that night. I hope LE is confirming them.
If their marriage broke up after 3-4 yrs (per the report on Greta's show) because he was uncomfortable with her stripping, I don't see how he's comfortable with her running an escort service while renewing their relationship. Then there's ex-H#2 that supposedly has a hot temper....

It was said on Greta tonight that the 1st husband thought that him and Paige had a relationship going and that he had come to terms with her being an escort. Her friend on Greta said that she hadn't known that Paige ran an escort service or did it herself but she said that Paige didn't try to keep it a secret and if she was asked about it she would talk about it...some of her friends were aware of it. She said that Paige had told her that Paige and her lst husband were getting back together or working on it.
I thought it was said that Paige received a phone call around 10:00 and left the house right after that and that she had a pair of shorts and a halter top on when she left. Now it is said that she never went home but was meeting with two different clients before she went home that night. I wonder what the truth is? Odd that she would meet with clients in shorts and a halter top.
I also heard on Greta that no one knows where this Jones couple are. That they weren't home when the house was searched several times. I wonder what led LE to the Jones house. Was Paige supposed to meet with the husband/client that night? Did the couple do something to her?

I heard that too, thanks for more details!
Here's where I have a problem. I know how I felt when I heard "Laci was ok with my affair" and other comments like that from other cases. Yeah, right.
I think men have a more difficult time 'sharing'a woman they are in a relationship with in. I know there are exceptions, but this ex-h said that their marriage broke up because she was stripping. Sure, somehow he accepted all that and moved on? Now it's ok that she's actually sleeping with (insert #) strangers? I think the ex#1 had something to do with this.
Where's Cal when you need him for that male point of view?

At least, she was trying to "earn" her way by working and not sitting on her duff being given handouts by Daddy.
Nope...instead she was working it....

Unless you sign up, it won't allow access for that second story. Could someone just post it here please?

Birgfeld probe casts light on man with violent past
The house at 3072 Hill Ave. is owned by Elaine J. Jones, according to the Mesa County Assessor’s Office. She lives there with her husband, Lester Ralph Jones, who was born in 1951, according to Mesa County voting records.
A man named Lester Ralph Jones, who was born March 4, 1951, has a slew of domestic-violence-related convictions for crimes committed in Delta County. All of the convictions stem from three dates in early 1999.
Jones’ CBI record shows 12 separate charges stemming from a Jan. 1, 1999, arrest by the Delta County Sheriff’s Department. The charges included two counts of harassment or false imprisonment; two counts of assault or menacing and second-degree kidnapping; a weapons offense; two misdemeanor traffic offenses; reckless endangerment; and false imprisonment.

'Person of Interest' Named in Missing Woman Case
Investigators in Mesa County have, for the first time, named a person of interest in the disappearance of 34 year old mother Paige Birgfeld.
Investigators have twice searched the home of Lester Ralph Jones in connection with the disappearance, and Friday named him a person of interest in the case.
Mesa County Sheriff Stan Hikley has said their investigation was focusing on the escort service Birgfeld was running at the time of her disappearance. Sources tell Fox News that Jones was a client of the escort service, Models, Inc.

I went ahead and moved this to the discussion forum so the previous reports would all be in the same place. It just seems more appropriate here.

I guess it is often the strong, silent type. You never know who you are dealing with. Sounds like he was very controlling and into his power trips. I just don't see how he plays into this scenario, but they must have some evidence to support their theory.
I found this on another Blog site: "News Channel 5 has learned and confirmed through an anonymous source that Mr. Jones works in Grand Junction at an RV company as a maintenance repairman. The business happens to be just feet away from where Paige Birgfeld's red Ford Focus was set ablaze on Sunday, July 1st. Investigators have searched the Jones' home at 3072 Hill Avenue twice, removing a plastic bed liner and bags of evidence." http://zoltanzion.blogspot.com/

That is very interesting Soul Searching. Thanks. I've bookmarked that blog.
I haven't lived in Grand Junction for nearly two years, but am familiar with the area which her car was found. I looked in an old phone book and as near as I can tell, the RV place *might* be Bob Scott RV's.
They have a website http://www.recvehicle.com/
On the Bob Scott page if you scroll down to where it gives the address of the parts and service dept. you can click on it and see a map.
If you go to Google maps, and type in 727 23 Road Grand Junction Colorado then hit 'search maps'
The parts and service dept. is located at 2302 Grand Park Drive which is just south and east of Walker Products at 727
23 Rd where her burned out car was found.
Comparing the two maps.... where Paige's car was found is probably just over a block away.
It's no wonder Jones is considered a person of interest. Very interesting

Some of these perps are just too stupid! Why would he burn her car a block away from where he worked?! Sheesh! He put a bullseye on his forehead himself!

Seriously Searching, you know, that's so preposterously obvious, that it almost seems too obvious. Could anyone really be that stupid? Makes ya wonder. I guess we'll just have to stay tuned to see how all this plays out.
BTW, sorry I called you Soul Searching!!
