A San Rafael man has been missing since Sunday morning, after leaving his home for a bike ride.
James Bronstein, 46, left without his keys, wallet or cash for what his family thought would be a one- to two-hour ride.
Marin County search and rescue team conducted a search Monday using aircraft and 20 searchers on foot as well as canines.
Bronstein didn't tell his family the route he planned to take. He often rides mountain bike trails near the Sun Valley neighborhood, as well as those around Mount Tamalpais, China Camp and Phoenix Lake.
Bronstein apparently had been depressed recently over work-related issues, San Rafael police said.
He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, gray sweatshirt with a "Croner Company" logo, dark gray sweatpants and brown running shoes. He was riding a black Specialized mountain bike.
Anyone who remembers seeing Bronstein since Sunday or has any information is asked to call San Rafael police at (415) 485-3000.
