The Billings Police Department and the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office on Sunday were searching for a 59-year-old Billings man missing since last week.

Virgil Naldrett's pickup truck was found at Coulson Park along with some of his belongings. He was reported missing on Thursday.

Naldrett, an avid runner, is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds with short grey hair and a mustache.

Officials have scheduled an autopsy for Tuesday on a body that turned up on the bank of the Yellowstone River south of Billings on Monday afternoon.

Yellowstone County Sheriff's Department Lieutenant Ron Wilson says the body appears to be that of a man and was found partially clothed in what looked like shorts or swim trunks.

At least one recent missing persons case remains open in Billings. Virgil Naldrett, 59, has been missing since the end of October.

The Yellowstone County coroner has confirmed that a body found on the bank of the Yellowstone River was that of a runner who had been missing since late October.

An autopsy determined that 59-year-old Virgil Naldrett drowned.
