Family man and friendly store manager Samir Patel, 38, of Milford went missing on Friday, October 12.

Patel was last seen by his family at 9 a.m. on October 12. His car was found parked on the New York City-bound side of the Metro-North train station. Those close to him said he had no previous plans to leave the city and usually doesn’t travel by train.

Samir Patel is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Police ask anyone with further information on his whereabouts to call Milford police at (203) 878-6551.

The whereabouts of missing Milford store manager Samir Patel are still unknown.

Patel, who mysteriously disappeared on October 12 — with his car found parked at the Metro-North train station on the New York City-bound side — worked at the convenience store Krauszer’s at 5 Pond Point Avenue. He vanished a day after he was seen at work laughing and joking with co-workers and friends, who are still bewildered by the sudden disappearance.

Patel left behind his wife and son, who said at the time that he went missing that they knew nothing about his disappearance, according to Patel’s former boss.

Samir Patel was listed on the National Registry of Missing and Exploited Persons in early November. He is described as being of Indian descent, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds.
