A Chicago family is frantically searching for a daughter who has been missing since Tuesday.

Her family says she was last seen visiting her mother, who was being treated at Michael Reese Hospital. Glass left to return home but never made it.

The girl's family plans to resume their search of the Washington Park area Sunday.

Man, what's with Chicago these days?? Seems like everyone is disappearing there!

Not a lot of information in this article. Do you know anything more?? What time was she last seen? What was she wearing?

The disappearance of a 14-year-old South Side girl, a straight-A student who kept vigil over her hospitalized mother in the days before she was last seen, has grown more worrisome to her family as police continue to investigate the strangulations of two women near Washington Park, not far from where the family lives.

Deanna Glass, who lives with her mother in the 4700 block of South King Drive, was last seen by her mother, Gail, on Tuesday during a visit to Michael Reese Hospital at 2929 S. Ellis Ave.

I wonder if the pressure of her mom being sick got to her and she just had to get away? Oh boy, I hope she's found safe and alive soon. This sure can't help her mom's situation.

There are 2 women that were found burned near where this child lives God be with her. I am praying that she will come home today. It does not sound good.

First Body Found: 834 E. 50th St. (about a mile southeast of Deanna's home)

Second Body Found (Pregnant): 6125 S. Prairie Ave. (about 2 miles south of Deanna's home)

FYI: There are 105 sexual offenders in Deanna's zip code alone, 34 of which are sexual predators.

ETA: 32 of the 105 are non-compliant or unable to locate.

A South Side family is searching for a teenage girl who has been missing for nearly a week. CBS 2's Kristyn Hartman reports that her family will visit her school, hoping to find clues.

Deanna Glass, 14, was last seen near her home after visiting her mother at Michael Reese Hospital last Tuesday, her family said.

Glass, of the 4700 block of South King Drive, left the hospital to return home, but she never made it back.

The girl's family plans to visit her school, the Anthony Overton School at 48th and Prairie, to look inside her desk to find out if there's anything in the desk that could shed light on her disappearance.

I noted that Deanna's house is 2 and 1/2 miles away from the hospital. That is a long walk..........did she have money to take a taxi or was she maybe getting a ride that no one knew about??

I see the family is going to visit the school, has the Mother been released from the hospital yet?

I would assume she would have taken the CTA bus to Michael Reese.

So she probably then took it back to her home or closest drop off station?? Do you know if the LE has checked with the CTA bus drivers along that route??

There's lots of bus stops in the city, in some places they're placed at every other block. Most of the time the bus stops are a few blocks apart. The CTA's run like clockwork (some routes are like every 10-20 minutes or so).

Usually the bus drivers will report any suspicious activity. I believe the buses also have cameras on them, but I'm not sure if that's ALL CTA buses or if it's specific routes...

Sorry, I don't know if LE checked with the bus drivers on the plausible routes.

Here is the CTA bus route she would have taken:

* Walk E from 4700 S KING DR to 47TH & KING (NB)

* Take #3 KING DRIVE NB
* Get off on 29th and King Drive
* Walk 0.2 mile E to 2929 S ELLIS AVE

OH NO. Police ID's the pregnant UID as 21 year old Theresa Bunn, but still have not ID'd the second body.

"Police said they have no reason to think that the unidentified body is that of Deanna or that the teenager's disappearance is connected to the two deaths. But detectives have requested more details about Deanna, including dental records, said Police Department spokeswoman Monique Bond.

"At this time, there is no evidence to link this missing [girl] to the burned victim last week, but detectives will look at the possibilities," Bond said."

Did any one check to see if she has a myspace,facebook or tag account. You may be able to figure out from her blogs if she just hooked up someone. If thats not the case someone could have been watching her all this time and just waited for the moment.

I'm praying it is not Deanna! I think valuable time was lost from the first article that said she went missing after LEAVING THE HOSPITAL to the next article you posted that her mother says she was at home but then left.

So obvioulsy, Deanna must have called her mom once she got home. But how did Mom know that she left the apartment??? Did Deanna have a cell phone and call her after she left the apartment?

I'm praying for her safe recovery.

I took it as she left the apartment while her mom was there. It said she didn't know where she was going. Maybe she was napping and she just left or the mother didn't ask where she was going.

To me it sounds like the mom came home from the hospital and Deanna was there, then left.
