The family of a girl missing for more than a week is fearing the worst Monday night, as police continue to search for the missing teen.

As CBS 2's Dana Kozlov reports, Deanna Glass' disappearance coincides with the gruesome discovery of two strangled and burned bodies near her South Side neighborhood.

It's been one week since the 14-year-old Glass disappeared. A flyer about the eighth grader is posted on her school's front door and friends at Overton Elementary are concerned.

Glad she is home safely, but this is a really weird deal.

During an interview on tv (I wasn't paying a lot of attention at first) a police officer was rather evasive when answering questions, but she ended up saying that the girl had been seen by some of her friends on the 17th. The interviewer was sort of having to drag answers out of the LE. Must have been on NG or Greta. What else do I watch on tv? Not much.

So it was either: her mother was in the hospital, the girl was visiting her, and girl left home to get a change of clothes, and never made it home, or this way: she did make it home, and her mother was released from hospital, and went home, and girl left after mom got home?

What?

Still, the most important thing was that she wasn't murdered.

I saw the same interview...believe it was Greta who was getting the evasive answers.

I am glad she is home and safe but I wonder why LE couldn't give more direct answers to the very simple questions that were asked.
