The Leesburg Police Department is asking the public's help in locating a 17-year old girl who left her house two days ago.

Amanda Anne Elkins is described as a white female, 5'8", 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen leaving the 200 block of White Horse Court at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkins was heading towards Foxridge Park wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt and a brown coat.

Something isn't right here her poster is up at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children however I found this article dated JANUARY 14 2008.

The Leesburg Police Department has located 17-year-old Amanda Anne Elkins. Elkins, who had been missing since Jan. 8.

She voluntarily left her residence and was reported missing to police. On Jan. 12, Elkins was found safe near the Leesburg Wal-Mart on Edwards Ferry Road. She was released to the custody of her father.
