Police and caretakers were looking across parts of San Joaquin County Friday for a man with medical problems after he was released from the San Joaquin County Jail, then vanished.
Herbert McCrory, 63, was arrested in Tracy Wednesday afternoon for public intoxication. He was taken to the San Joaquin County Jail to sober up and was released the next morning. Authorities believe he walked away and McCrory has not been seen since.
"We're really worried about him. He needs his medication," McCrory's caretaker Shauneece Prentice said.
McCrory has high blood pressure and needs medication. He also has a speech impediment and becomes disoriented easily.
McCrory is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, a black baseball cap and blue jeans. Anyone with information about McCrory's whereabouts are asked to call Tracy Police at (209) 831-4552.
