Police today will continue their search for an elderly man missing since early Thursday morning.
"We've been looking for him every since he was reported missing," Stockton Police Department spokesman Pete Smith said of 85-year-old Joseph Farias.
"Today, we're going back to square 1 and make sure we covered everything, to make sure we've dotted our I's and crossed our T's."
"We've even had people out on the water (seaching for Farias),'' said Smith.
Farias was last seen Wednesday evening at his home in the 6400 block of El Capitan Circle.
His wife awoke about 2 a.m. Thursday to find that he was no longer in the home, Smith said last week.
Smith said then that officers had searched areas that Farias' family members said he might frequent.
Farias has had health problems recently and is taking blood pressure medicine, said Smith, adding that police are concerned Farias may be disoriented.
He also left his wallet at home with all his identifying information.
Farias was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, possibly blue jeans, and white and blue tennis shoes.
He wears prescription glasses and may have his insurance card and $60 in cash.
Farias is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 190 pounds and has brown eyes and gray hair.
Anyone with information about Farias should contact the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377.
