Beef jerky, chili and hot peanuts are off Casey Anthony's menu at the jail today and possibly for the rest of the week.

In fact, she's in the red. She owes the jail's commissary $8.95, jail records show.
Anthony, 23, wiped out her jail account on Oct. 8 when she purchased $30.29 worth of bottled water, three cans of jalapeno cheese dip, one can of cheese spread, ear buds and pony tail holders.

When she was brought in to sheriff's headquarters one year ago Wednesday, Anthony did not utter a word about her daughter Caylee's whereabouts, but only requested that her attorney be present.

Since Casey has been behind bars, she has spent over $2,000 on a variety of items, including more than 30 beef sticks, 58 cans of jalapeno dip and 41 bags of chips.
Earlier this year, Eyewitness News reported that strangers from California, Georgia and South Carolina sent Casey money to her jail account.

"The state has led you to believe that there's duct tape around the mouth," attorney Linda Kenney Baden tells CBS' Maggie Rodriguez. "All we can say is that's going to be a disputed issue."
"A stranger. It was a stranger involved," attorney Todd Macaluso says.

In other news in the case, Anthony’s attorneys will motion to dismiss the case against her before Judge Stan Strickland Friday morning citing spoiled evidence.
State attorneys are expected to respond by striking the motion, which they call “legally flawed.”
Other motions expected by the state include a motion to compel reciprocal discovery and to compel the defense’s witness list.
The judge will also hold a status hearing in Anthony’s check fraud case.

The latest deposit covered the $10.45 deficit and brings her jail account balance to $39.55. Jail spokesman Allen Moore said jail officials will continue to deduct the daily $1.50 subsistence fee from her account.
According to previous jail commissary purchases, the 23-year-old inmate spends an average of $35 every time she shops at the commissary.

There are more than 1,300 pages of NEW transcripts from the depositions of George, Cindy and Lee Anthony.
The transcript from George Anthony’s August 5 deposition is 335 pages long.
The prosecutors questioned George about Father's Day weekend, right before Caylee disappeared, and the duct tape.
George told prosecutors under oath that he did not put a piece of duct tape on his gas can. He says he's put tape on it before, because the cap was broken, but claims he did not put that piece on because he would have done it in a much neater way.

Orange Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland decided this afternoon that he wouldn't consider the defense team's request to dismiss the charges. He agreed with prosecutors who said the defense's motion was legally insufficient.
The defense could opt to ask again.
Strickland ordered the defense to provide a witness list to the state by Feb. 1 or else explain why it can't do so. Prosecutors want to interview the witnesses who can support the defense's claim.

A judge has ruled to dismiss a request to throw out the most serious criminal charges against Casey Anthony, who is charged with murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
In the depositions, her father, George Anthony, revealed that his family has a contract with CBS and they are in the process of negotiating with another company for a book deal.
"There's going to be some compensation. Just a few thousand dollars. It's not much at all. It's nothing. Cindy is not working. I'm not working. What would you do?" George Anthony said.

Defense attorneys made their case for dropping murder charges against Casey Anthony , charged with murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Friday morning but after the hearing the judge ruled against the defense saying the motion does not meet the requirements of the state's rules of criminal procedure for a dismissal of the first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse charges.
Judge Strickland didn't immediately rule on the prosecutor's request and issued his written ruling later in the day stating that it did not meet the requirements needed for a dismissal of the first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse charges.

Also Friday, Strickland heard an argument about a defense motion to dismiss the first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse charge should be dismissed. The judge might rule later today whether to grant a prosecution motion to dismiss the defense motion that sees to have the charges thrown out.
Dates for a check fraud case against Casey Anthony were announced on Friday.
A pretrial hearing is scheduled at 10 a.m. on Dec. 18. The trial is set for Jan. 25.

Casey Anthony’s lawyers lost their biggest legal fight Friday to get her murder case thrown out and the judge set a trial date for Casey's other criminal case.
On January 25, Casey will have to fight charges that she stole her best friend's checks and emptied her bank account. The judge also gave Casey's defense team a new deadline Friday.
What might have been grandstanding by the defense team turned out to be another mistake. Now, the defense has until February 1 to turn over the evidence they claim they have proving someone else put Caylee's body in the woods near the Anthonys' house.

It's never wise to judge a show before you've seen it. And I haven't seen this weekend's "48 Hours Mystery" on Caylee Anthony and her family.
They may be disappointed, because this hour seems aimed at many people who haven't been following the case closely.
"I just want people to know we spent many, many months on this," Rodriguez told me. "It's a comprehensive look. We go inside the Anthony home, Caylee and Casey's rooms. We delve into Casey's life before the case. I think it will help people understand."
