Lynn, MA Highrock Rd at 1 am.

Suspect: Rodlyn Petitbois age 25 also wanted for homicide. Black male.

Suspect: Liuna Eveillard age 26 black female- injured hand

Children:

Ryan 3, Lyndsey 2, Lauren 1, Roddick 11 months

Vehicle unknown.

Homicide victim not identified at this time. Possibly grandmother. Was alive when found, died at hospital.

I really thought in my heart that this one was going to turn out badly. That the guys was nuts enough to kill everyone and then take his own life. But I am SO glad it turned out differently. I feel so badly for the 4 children of the woman who was killed. Here was a friend offering a safe house and she died defending her friend and her children. Greenland Etienne had 4 children of her own.

With the exception of Reigh Rockefeller, who I believe will be found, EVERY ONE of Massachusetts Amber Alerts have resulted in safe return.

I am so happy this bill was enacted.

(we were in the car this morning when the radio made the Emergency alert noise and the amber alert came on. ALL highway signs posted the info, it comes over ALL lottery machines like a teletype and ran across the bottom of all TV screens all day!)

Police are now saying the children were not abducted. According to the eye witness, the mother went to the house to get away from the father. Father went there at 1 AM to get mother & children. When mother didn't want to go, he became forceful. The friend stepped in and he stabbed her in the eye, she's now dead. The mother had hand wounds from defending herself. Not an abduction though????

Aggressive father, submissive mother- those poor kids will need more than an Amber Alert to get through life.

Apparently the mother told NYC police she was not forced to go. Pretty darn sad for the woman who gave her life trying to protect her friend and children.

I agree. Wonder though if concern over it being the 3rd Amber Alert coming out of MA in 4 days helped tip the scales towards no Alert since Brown, going straight down the pike, was probably in NY before the MA LE could be fully informed.

Although the mother and her four children were found safe and the perp arrested, this story does NOT have a happy ending. There are now four young children orphaned, all because of SOMEONE ELSE'S abusive relationship and she tried to save a friend. I guess you would call this brave woman, collateral damage of a domestic abuse case.

I guess what this case shows, is that when a person allows themselves to be abused, they not only endanger their own life and that of their children, but just about anyone who knows them, and especially, anyone who tries to help them.

As far as this story goes, I don't feel sorry for the mother and children recovered from the clutches of that guy. At least they're alive to carry on their lives. Although they may have troubles related to this incident as well as from the past few years they were subjected to this physical and mental torture,........my grief is for the loss of this young woman's life so needlessly only because she was brave enough to stand up to a man who had been intimidating his way through life up to that point.

These children of this brave soul, will now have to find a way to survive without their dear mom.

How tragic. How sad...I so hope their community embraces these deserving children and sees that they do not have to be separated and given a chance to live the life their mom was trying to create for them.

Prayers for these little darlings. I hope they realize how brave their mom was, how special she was, willing to pay the ultimate price to protect another human being.

She was very special.

I am beyond bent out of shape by the turn this case has taken-in spite of the fact that women who are victims of violence routinely give inconsistent statements, by golly let's charge her as an accomplice after the fact for this murder of her friend??? OUTRAGEOUS! I am completely furious!
