What has been brought up time after time on the blogs is the fact that Beth does NOT go to any search thing unless it is one with a LOT of publicity. She skips the others.

And I think you are right. He was on the public defenders list and some reporter asked G and C early on if they were paying for her defense and they said no.

But come to think of it....who could say they were telling the truth??

I can only assume that she goes to them as she can afford them. No one pays for her to go. She works with non-profit organizations.

I dont know if that true of not. I have no knowledge of what searches she has participated in...

I know that she is eternally grateful for TE to try and help find Natalee.

Nobody else would in Aruba..not even their LE.

And anybody who volunteers their time doing any amount of good in the world is ok by me.

I have been thinking alot about Cindy's place in all of this. I know we have spent much time trying to figure out how to make Casey tell the truth. Which would be great, however, if she is the sociopath that she appears to be that would be near impossible. The one thing that keeps going through my mind is what approach would we need to take to make Cindy accept the obvious facts of this case. I do not believe she is a sociopath. There has to be a way for LE to approach her to help her accept the truth and then maybe she would be more forthcoming with what she knows and maybe she could help find Casey. I think it would be much easier to do this that to try and get Casey to tell the truth. Do you all have any thoughts on this?

Being on the public defenders list does not get you an attorney. The court appoints the attorney from the PD list..........She was not appointed him in court that I saw.........

I can't remember where I heard it or read it, but I thought that Casey got Baez's name from when she was in intake/processing. Alot of bail/bond company's and defense attorneys have their cards there.

But as usual, I could be wrong.

Does anyone know how quickly this story went to the media? Maybe JB saw the 1st news report about a mother not reporting her 2 yr old missing for 30 days and figured it would be a BIG one.

You are almost correct. It was someone else waiting to be processed who told her.
