Posted: 10:09 AM- Sandy police are searching for a 16-year-old girl missing since about 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Robyn Atkinson is mentally disabled, said Sandy Police Sgt. Victor Quezada. She was last seen on the school bus, coming home from Alta High School.
The girl's 14-year-old brother usually takes care of his sister after school, and when he arrived home at 3:05 the garage door was open but his sister was gone, Quezada said.

Amber Alert issued for missing teen
September 13th, 2008 @ 3:00pm
(KSL News) An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 16-year-old girl.
Robyn Atkinson was last seen in the area of 1685 E. Pheasant Brook Rd., in Sandy yesterday.
Police she was dropped her off in her neighborhood by a school bus, and she was seen walking in the neighborhood and by her house.
When the girl didn't come home last night, her father called Sandy police.
Police say she wrote a letter to her father, but it is hard to read because she has a learning disability. Police say she doesn't read or write at her age level. Police say though the letter is hard to understand, they believe she said she was attending a football game.

Update:
A girl missing since yesterday has been found. Sgt. Victor Quezada of the Sandy Police Department says Robyn Atkinson is alive and well.
We are told she was found at a residence in Sandy around 6:30 p.m.
