Duke Lacrosse accuser writes book

The young lady that was at the center of the Duke Lacrosse rape case a couple of years ago is coming out with a book... in the book she insists that she was attacked...

At a press conference she refused to answer specific case related questions, to which her publisher said that the case was closed and that she (the accuser) accepts the conclusion of state prosecutors.

Personally speaking, if I was attacked and the state dropped the case, I could not accept it... I would fight to the nth degree to find justice. AND... by no means is writing a book and putting a price tag on the situation how one gets justice... she is making her claims look all the more questionable, IMO.

IIRC Jesse Jackson offered to pay her way thru college even if she fabricated the rape story -- this was before all heck broke loose, the truth came out and Nifong was forced to face the music so to speak. I don't remember hearing anything on if she accepted JJ's offer or not. Seems that would have been a legit opportunity and given her a chance to start over. This, OTOH sounds like the opposite. Nope wouldn't use the book as toilet paper much less buy or read it

I pray no one buys that book. She had her fifteen minutes of fame at the expense of those young men. She needs to go away. It only shows just how ignorant she is. If you filed charges of rape against a group of young men and then were found to be lying...wouldn't you want to stay out of the public eye?

Can the young men she accused sue? Could it be slander?

Bill O'Reilly will be talking about this next Tuesday...he is calling out the PUBLISHER on this one.............

I hope they can sue. She should be ashamed to show her face after what she did. It really angers me that people can profit from lies or even that anyone let her publish a book in the first place. What she did to those boys was disgraceful. Totally sickening she is

Depending on what she says in the book, I would hope that any of the young men who were accused could sue and get any and all profits from advances, sales, appearances, or speaking fees.

This statement from the above linked article says it all to me about Crystal Magnum's "character" or lack thereof:

"The forensic DNA findings revealed between five and nine different male profiles in and on Ms. Mangum — none of which matched any person on the Duke men's lacrosse team."

Apparently she claims that the photos, the DNA, the ATM receipts (which show that Reade Seligmann wasn't even there when the alleged assault took place) were all altered. GMAFB.

Jeez... only thing left is for her to drop the name "zani" and I would swear she was drinking from the same koolaid mug that Cindy Anthony is drinking from. Deny, deny, deny (the stuff that proves she was lying) and make illogical excuses for everything else. *shakes my head*

If this woman truly was attacked, I believe that they would have at least fingered someone in that mess. I guess the only difference in being able to say anything you want about anyone you want is whether you do so as a private citizen or an officer of the court.

These boys lives may have been forever tarnished by unfounded accusations, that is WRONG.

Yes, and had they been from poor families, they would be sitting in prison now. I hope no one buys the book. And I hope they sue her. How far will she go to victimize those boys?
