Hollywood is set to go on trial Feb 19, 2008 in Santa Barbara if anyone followed this case. Supreme court reversed a lower court decision that took DA Ron Zonen off the case, so he will be prosecutor. The rest of the murderers went to trial with no fanfare and have been serving their sentences, Hollywood is the last to go to trial

Please keep me updated also. Is it true that William Skidmore is getting released this year? Also, does anyone know if Jesse Rugge had his parole hearing? Do you think he has a chance of ever getting out?

Jesse James Hollywood was convicted Wednesday of the kidnap and murder of a 15-year-old boy that inspired the 2007 movie "Alpha Dog."

After deliberating about four days, a Santa Barbara Superior Court jury also found Hollywood, 29, guilty of the special circumstance allegation of being involved in a crime in which an assault weapon or machine gun was used, making him eligible for the death penalty.

Hollywood stared straight ahead as the verdict was read.
The penalty phase of the case was scheduled to begin Monday.

I'm really surprised this has not gotten more coverage - I figured for sure it would be on Court TV (well whatever it's called now). I'll keep my eyes peeled to see what happens in the penalty phase but hopefully Tonia or someone can post a link once it's done. I bet pretty little Jessie is more than a little concerned about what his life will be like in the big house
