Man tortures child with hanger
From my county, what a sicko POS. Rot in jail bucko!
http://www.tampabays10.com/news/loca...=94496&catid=8
St. Petersburg, Florida - Police on Thursday arrested a 53-year-old man after he admitted forcing the hooked end of a coat hanger down a child's throat.
No motive is mentioned, but according to the arrest affidavit, on Wednesday night Adams, "did willfully torture, and maliciously punish the child."
Police say the 8-year-old suffered, "great bodily harm." The affidavit says the child's tonsils, soft palate and posterior pharynx were damaged in the incident.
The affidavit also says Adams admitted, "cleaning the blood off the hanger."
Adams is in the Pinellas County jail charged with aggravated child abuse.
The victim is being treated at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. We have no word on the child's condition.
St. Petersburg police are not saying if Adams was related to the victim.

omg that poor child!!! How in the he77 does it even occur to someone to do these things? When I saw the title I thought using a hanger to hit a child, this is beyond sick!

Omg. I imagine someone in jail will find an equal torture for him.
I hope the child can heal and be blessed w/ a healthy future.

I agree. Lock 'em up, throw away the key. Neither do I believe he would ever ask for help for his problem.

I don't understand, either. Seriously, how would someone think something like that up?! I read the strangest things on here; thoughts that have NEVER crossed my mind. Makes me feel just sick inside. How do you make a child feel loved and safe after something like that happens to them?

People like this make me feel ashamed to be part of the human race. That poor boy, there are no words adequate to describe how this makes me feel.

Gives a new meaning to Mommy Dearest. I thought I was going to open the thread to see a child had been beaten with a wire hanger. I cannot fathom that someone actually has a mind to do this sort of thing. Sorry - he should be shot.

I don't know whether to cry or scream.
It's no wonder children continue to be victimized.

Maybe I am just wrong for this, but shooting would be too good for him. I would rather see someone hook a wire hanger into one of HIS orifices. Maybe all of them.

WTH! I think that the judge who gave him this sentence should have to have him live in their homes for the two years. This is disgusting. When are we going to hold these judges accountable for their screwed up decisions.

And sad, considering the only thing standing in the way of justice is a lack common sense.

IMO: He should have been charged with attempted murder, maybe then he would have gotten the sentence he deserved!

I have created a large database and I am tracking all of the sentences I have been finding. This also will show me which ones are still pre-trial so I won't forget to go back and check them. Hopefully we will see a pattern develop and we will know which areas need to be pushed to give stiffer sentences.
