Deputy fired for mishandling evidence

Deputy Paula Guillory, who was suspended without pay last month after officials learned evidence was missing, was fired Thursday by Sheriff Ricky Edwards after a monthlong investigation.
Edwards said no criminal charges have been filed against Guillory, but the investigation is continuing.

It’s unclear what kind of cooperation he and his partner will receive once they arrive in the largely rural parish, but one hopes the filmmakers will be welcomed.
This will mark the third time the string of seven deaths has sparked outside interest. Jeff Davis Sheriff Ricky Edwards confirms that at 1:30 p.m. the Jennings Police Department received a report of a missing person, Necole Guillory, who had not been seen since Sunday. Authorties tell us Guillory is in her mid to late 20's. By 2 p.m. members of a Task Force investigating the deaths of seven women in Jeff Davis Parish began interviewing the person who had reported the missing person to authoritties. At 2:30, Edwards says, they received word from Acadia Parish that a body had been found. At that point investigators with the task force headed to the scene.
At this point, authorities are stopping short of saying that the victim is Necole Guillory or whether this latest death may be connected to the others in Jeff Davis Parish.

OMG! Not another one! Poor darling Necole.
This is all too much. These girls are so vulnerable. What is the connection? Where does Necole fit in?
This time, LE can determine the cause of death and maybe there will be some fiber/hair/DNA/ available. I pray that Necole's death will be what puts the noose around this guy's neck.

I hope this gets solved soon. It is very frustrating knowing that with all of the modern technology and such that women from my seemingly small hometown are being murdered so often. It seems until the puzzle gets solved it remains 8 victims and counting. I am thankful for the numerous web forums such as this that are getting the story out there. This particular site has been very helpful in keeping up with the details. More so than the local sources giving updates.

This is a rediculous story that I find highly suspicious...it's an article entitled "KPLC refuses to turn over video recordings". Turns out a Jennings judge ordered that the footage of interviews with the victims family be handed over. These interviews are from the hour long documentary on the murders. Here's the link:

LAFAYETTE, La. (CBS/AP) In Louisanna, the hunt for a serial killer believed to have murdered eight women, has turned to an unexpected place - the police themselves.
In order to quell rumors that a law enforcement officer might be behind the killings that left partially nude victims in strange locations across Jefferson Davis Parish, 60 miles west of Baton Rouge, officers that work for agencies investigating the deaths are having their DNA tested against evidence in the cases.
Those being tested include members of the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office, the Jennings Police Department and other official agencies.
