Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man who went missing Friday afternoon.

Police say they are concerned for the safety and welfare of John P. Wentworth, 65, who was last seen at the Somersworth Wal-Mart on Friday.

Wentworth is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeved, buttoned-down shirt, khaki pants and black loafers, police said. He also has a scar on his left cheek.

Police said he should be driving black Hyundai Sonata with a license plate bearing 2246886.

Police Sgt. David Martinelli declined to discuss details regarding the case, but said police are unsure where Wentworth is and are concerned for his well-being.

Missing Dover man found dead in Milton

DOVER — Police have found the body of John Wentworth, the Dover man missing since Friday afternoon.

The cause of death remains under investigation, according to Martinelli. Milton police are leading the investigation.
