I tried to do a search for an existing thread and didn't find one. This woman has been missing from Merced, CA since February, but police are now saying this is a homicide investigation. Nancy Grace covering the story as I type this. Couldn't find any info on her website, but here is another link to the story.

I saw this story on Nancy Grace. Her husband is creepy and has several charges against him over the last months but not the murder charge yet. Even though this woman filed for a divorce last Oct...I believe...her and her husband were still living in the same house..was my understanding. She went to Mexico to check up on one of two summer houses that they have and hasn't been seen since. Her two bassitt hounds were still in her Hummer and had been given food and water. The Hummer was said to be parked in the driveway of the summer house.

The sister of the missing woman said that the Hummer gets 8 miles to the gallon and only two gas receipts in the woman's name were found from the trip.
At first I couldn't understand what the sister's point was but I wonder if she believes that the husband murdered his wife on the way to Mexico and her body is somewhere along the way. Then he drove on to Mexico with the dogs. When he left Mexico it is my understanding that he drove the Hummer and took the dogs with him.

This man also has a girlfriend and there are questions about her involvement in the murder.

Just thought I'd ask if any one else has "heard" anything....I think about Karen Wright often, and do a google search but haven't found anything new online.

It's just so odd that there's *nothing" new to be found out about her & her disappearance!

Was hoping maybe someone had heard something on a live tv / radio broadcast, or even talk within the community.

It seems Karen W.'s husband is the person of interest. He has been in jail on other charges, now out on bail.

note: His towing company had two men go missing in 1993.
Sheriff's office announced in April 2009 that they will review
the drowning death of his 6 yr old step son in 1982.

Boy's Body Exhumed, 30 Years Later

The body of a six-year-old Merced County child has been exhumed as part of an investigation into a series of disappearances that have spanned decades, but the man authorities said is connected with the cases has flatly denied any involvement.

When Aaron Larson Wright drowned in a neighbor's pool nearly 30 years ago, his stepfather, Randal Wright, was babysitting. Since then, a total of three people associated with Wright vanished in the past two decades.

"It seems like everyone he comes in contact with is gone," said Merced County Sheriff Mark Pazin.

Ten years after Aaron died, two drivers for Wright's tow truck company mysteriously disappeared. Authorities consider them victims of homicide, but the bodies of Steven Lombard and Paul Armstrong have never been found.

Detectives questioned Wright, but he was never a suspect.

Last year, Wright was the last one to see his soon-to-be ex-wife Karen before she vanished from the couple's Mexican vacation home. Wright was questioned in the case, but again, he was never named a suspect.

Body of boy reburied after last month's exhumation
Child was stepson of man whose wife has been missing.

The body of a 6-year-old boy exhumed from a local cemetery by Merced County sheriff's detectives was reburied Friday.

More than two dozen family members of Aaron Wright gathered at Evergreen Funeral Home and Memorial Park for the brief ceremony. Relatives of the boy wept as they each shoveled a mound of dirt onto his tiny casket.
