PA - Joseph Dado, 18, Penn State University in State College, Sept 2009
http://www.centredaily.com/116/story...k=omni_popular
For some reason, I can't copy any of the article so you'll have to check the link. Sadly, it's not even on the front page of the paper today. Apparently nothing is as important as Penn State Football this time of year. But they did just do an update and now there are helicopters searching for him. Which I find odd, that's like trying to find a needle in a haystack in this town. As of now there is very little information floating around town...I'll keep you posted as I hear more.
My thoughts and prayers are with this boy's family in hopes that he is found.

From the link above:
Penn State University police are looking for an 18-year-old student who went missing after leaving a fraternity house over the weekend.
Police say freshman Joseph Dado was last seen leaving the Phi Gamma Delta house around 3 a.m. Sunday.
and
They describe him as a 5-foot-9-inch, 160-pound white male, with brown eyes and brown hair.

...The body of missing 18-year-old Penn State student Joseph Dado was found by University maintenance workers at 6 p.m. today (Sept. 22) at the bottom of a stairwell on campus, about 75 yards away from the fraternity house where he was last seen...

The date is incorrect, which makes me wonder if this report is accurate?
However I found this article:

....Penn State spokeswoman Lisa Powers said maintenance workers found Joseph Dado, 18, at 6 p.m. Monday. There was no evidence of foul play, Powers said...

What a handsome young man. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace Joseph.

"Workers who were called to the Hosler Building on the corner of Burrowes and Pollock roads on campus to repair a broken pipe discovered the body near the entrance of a mechanical room," the statement read.
Early on, university police have determined Dado's death accidental. The statement indicated that authorities believe Dado fell about 15 feet to the concrete, where he sustained trauma to the head.

Sounds like he had maybe been drinking at the frat house, and while walking back to his dorm, went between two buildings and fell down the outside stairwell. I'm sure his parents are just heartbroken. He was a freshman, and the school year had just begun.

This story really breaks my heart. It reminds me a lot of Wade Steffey, another case that really captured my attention for a long time. Such a sad loss, and at such a young age.
