The Steuben County Sheriff Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing man.

Stuart H. Stalcup, disappeared on foot sometime between midnight Saturday and 6 a.m. today, according to a written statement from the Steuben County Sheriff's Department.

and

Stalcup suffers from severe diabetes and does not have insulin with him, the statement said. He also has a speech impairment from a stroke.

FREMONT - The search for a missing diabetic man from Snow Lake has stretched all the way to Kansas.

Steuben County Sheriff Rick Lewis says they found out Tuesday that 48-year-old Stuart H. Stalcup may have taken some of his insulin and a meter with him when he left a family home sometime early Sunday morning.

Lewis says Stalcup is originally from Kansas so police and health agencies between here and Kansas have been notified that he is missing.

Police say he can not speak after suffering a stroke and is insulin dependent.

The Steuben County Sheriff's Department has positively identified the body found near Indiana 120 on Thursday as 48-year-old city man Stuart Stalcup.

A Silver Alert was issued after Stalcup disappeared . . .
