Fire in downtown Estes Park
A block of downtown Estes Park is in flames this morning, consuming some of the oldest buildings in the resort community.

I love Estes Park in the off season. I used to live in nearby Raymond, and had a store called The Turquoise Trail in The Courtyard. What a tragedy for this town to lose ANY historical buildings, let alone a whole block. I hope they keep it from spreading any more. Bless the firefighters and property owners. I admit I'm tearing up posting this.

We were there not long ago, and as always, it was beautiful. I hate to hear that.

Was there just this summer with my family, and we parked behind this mall --and shopped in many of its stores. This is just really sad.

Update:Fire contained.

I am so glad they've got it contained. I was really worried since it's very windy there today. As bad as this is, it could have been so much worse. Thank you, firemen!
