I think this girl is in some serious danger.
Father looks (and acts) like my ex.
I'm not projecting here, I can get past the physical resemblance, it's the behavioral resemblance that bothers me.

I have the same feeling about him. If he really wanted to hurt the mother he will harm the child. I really really hope I'm wrong.

NEW DURHAM — State and community police were stationed along the Spaulding Turnpike and Route 11 between Rochester and Alton late this morning, on the lookout for the suspect in the Amber Alert kidnapping from Sanford, Maine.

State and Sanford police say the little girl who was abducted from her mother's apartment on Monday morning has been found in Milton, N.H.
Hailey Traynham's father, Gary Traynham, has been arrested, according to a statement issued a few minutes ago by Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine State Police.

Michael Grant first shared his story with News 9 on Tuesday, detailing the long and emotional conversation he had with Traynham before the father agreed to turn himself in to police.
Grant said he was running late and didn't set out to go hunting until after 2 p.m. When he ventured into a wooded area off Middleton Road, he said he spotted a pickup truck matching the description in Maine's first Amber Alert issued after the girl's alleged abduction.
Grant said he knew the truck was the one from the Amber Alert that he saw on News 9 on Monday night. He had memorized the license plate, which was still on the truck. At that moment, he decided to go have a talk with Traynham, man to man.

Bless Mr. Grant for being the type of person he is. Had he not, this man may have killed his daughter then himself out of desperation. Now the man can get help and incarseration but most important, this little girl can get back to her Mama. What he hero he is.

I am so glad that there was someone around that actually had a pair. Waiting for the police to intervene would have taken long enough that he might have taken off again.
And another much needed good ending for the Amber Alert.

ALFRED -- Lisa Gould told a judge Thursday that she believed she would die at the hands of her ex-boyfriend on the morning of Nov. 9, 2009.
