The family of a 60-year-old woman was seeking the public's help today in finding her after she went missing Wednesday from Stroger Hospital of Cook County.
 Betty Williams, of Chicago Heights, was last seen about 2 p.m. Wednesday after she was dropped off at the hospital by her brother to pick up medication, according to her daughter, Kyla Williams. From the hospital, she was supposed to take a taxi to Maywood to visit her sister, but never showed up.
Betty Williams is described as African-American with a fair complexion, medium length black hair, 4 feet 11 and 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a dark coat, cream-colored scarf, blue jeans and white gym shoes, her daughter said.
Chicago police said they were aware of Betty Williams' disappearance and were working on the missing persons case with Hazel Crest police. Kyla Williams, a Hazel Crest resident, reported her mother missing.
Anyone with information regarding Betty Williams' whereabouts should call 911

There is nothing online about if Betty Williams did pick up her prescriptions.
If she did go inside the hospital, there should be security camera footage showing
her going in, picking the rx, going out.
And still, if she did not go in, maybe the camera would catch what did happen.
If she was not feeling well, she was at a hospital, help was nearby.

I think whether or not Mrs Williams picked up her presriptions is key.
Did she get her meds and then go outside to get a taxi-
I wonder why the 30 dollars is mentioned...is that enough to pay for meds and take a cab
I sure hope she is on video......

Betty Williams was last seen Wednesday outside Stroger Hospital. Her brother dropped her off at about one o'clock so she could pick up a prescription. She was supposed to take a cab back to her sister's home in Maywood.
Williams has a series of health issues, and her family started worrying when she did not show up. "She's very family oriented. She's kind of a homebody. She doesn't like to travel to many different places. She's highly skeptical about strangers, very protective of herself, her person. And so it would be very unlikely for her to, like, go off with someone that she didn't know," said Kyla Williams, her daughter.
Williams lives in Chicago Heights but sometimes stays in Maywood.
Anyone who may have seen her is asked to contact the police.
