two of the comments there were interesting to me. One poster brought up the fact that hidden assets and life insurance should be looked at (more at comments section)

The other one that interested me... one poster wondered why he always has the four year old so close to him (seen in videos and also at the vigil). Where was the two year old at the vigil? Why does he cling to the four year old? Does this child know something?

I'm really interested in this rental car. Obviously, if he drove HUNDREDS of miles, then he would have to stop for gas somewhere. Hopefully they can serve a search warrant on his recent debit/credit transactions or surveillance from a gas station will surface somewhere. And hopefully the rental car hasn't been rented since he has had it. Otherwise, any evidence in that could easily be thrown out, if a trial ever comes to fruition.

Insurance policy has never been discussed by family?
JP can't get any money til Susan is declared deceased.
and go figure, he is still married.
Interesting thoughts.

Last night I heard on news that toxicology tests on Brittany Murphy (actress) would take 4-6 weeks before coming back.
So I assume the same for Susan and the rug............it could be 4 more weeks before tests come back?
and then LE has to put a crime scene happened and then link it to JP.
So, arrest may not be til Susan is found, JP confesses or everything comes together
for a case.

Do you have the name of the poster of that? It has been deleted.

BBM IF this is "true", I would hope this individual would contact LE and fill them in about this "source" close to the Powell family with all this knowledge of what Josh plans on doing.

Someone posted a comment on a news article website indicating this BUT nothing to back up this information. I guess we will have to wait and see if what this person posts is rumor or fact.

Fortunately (perhaps unfortunately, for Josh), there will be justice - both temporal, and eternal.
I thought I read that she fasted and prayed and received the answer to stay with Josh. Thanks for letting me know that wasn't exactly right......

Did Susan and Josh marry in the Temple? Does anyone know? Would that have kept her from leaving Josh? Anyone out there married in the Temple that actually knows????

But would Susan define her husband as abusive, or would she see it as more of a controlling problem. Seeking out an Domestic Violence counselor would mean she'd have to see it as that. Did she? I guess that's the shocking part so far, kinda like Scott Peterson, Josh isn't a beat her up kind of guy. No, they don't seem that dangerous then up and kill their loving wife.
Curious Me... I know in the case of a religious woman, she will first go to her church leadership. If a church leader even suspected that there is a control issue in the marriage, red flags should be going off. Because that's what abuse is - it's control. At that point a professional counselor (LPC or LCSW) with training in the abuse cycle would be able to counsel a woman to help bring up her self esteem, develop trust and help her to make positive decisions in the relationship. It does not have to be a DV counselor. It can start with a call to the National Domestic Violence Hotline for resources or to a friend at church, a parent. We need to be more educated as to what these red flags are. BYU Women's center put together a program where they are encouraging students to recognize abusive controlling behavior in others and speaking up against it. They even did an organized 5k race in September to bring awareness. IMHO, it has to be a combination of education among ourselves and our children and a professional approach of educating our church leaders.

I remember hearing in a news video that they were married in a Temple. IIRC, it was a Temple in Utah, but not in SLC. I wasn't paying close attention to the name of the temple.

Digging now to see what I can find to confirm & fill in the blanks.

ETA - LDS Portland Temple; I found a link: http://www.sltrib.com/ci_14035282?source=most_viewed
