OK - Hope Danielle Meek, 25, Valliant, 21 Feb 2002
My baby sister,hope danielle meek disappeared out of her home in valliant oklahoma on february.21,2002.osbi has termed her case to be missing under suspicious circumstances with foul play being on the part of her husband,jerry dale meek who was the last person to see her inside their home that day. when hope disappeared,her children,truck,cell phone,glasses,contacts,bank books and credit cards were left in the home.
when Hope disappeared her children were 6 years old,3 years old and 10 months old.She would not just up and leave,turning her back on her family.She was very close to her mother and her older sister.Her husband has given conflicting statements and refuses to work with the investigators.He has a girlfriend and a new baby born in 2007,which the girlfriend was Hope's baby sitter.
Hope was 25 years old when she disappeared,with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes.She weighed about 98 pounds.Hope has always loved her family and would not put her family through this.

It sounds like OSBI has their hands tied. No evidence at the home of a crime.
I am sorry that you and your family have to endure this, it seems all too common anymore.
According to a search engine, he stayed at the residence after her disappearance.
It seems he wanted out of the marriage 3 years prior to her disappearing.

Yea he has stayed in the home.What gets me is if he wanted out,why he stopped her from leaving.He is a controlling man and has to control everything.H

He probably didn't want her to have custody of the children and he have to pay child support.

I believe that her children is why he did this to her.He couldn't stand the thought od how much he would have to pay in child support and possible alimony.He tried to always control her and she was strong willed,just as our mother taught us to be.I will never give up trying to find out what happened,no matter what.I pray he is feeling guilty for what he did.I think some day,one of the older two children will remeber what they saw and will tell it.Till we get answers and closure,I will never give up.In the mean time,I am doing everything I can.I am there for the children(my beautiful nieces and nephew),our parents and will never let her be forgotten.I have been talking to somebody who wants to help us get answers and national coverage and I hope this pans out and something breaks in the case.This is terrible for our parents and it tears me up seeing how my parents feel.

If some shred of evidence would surface, then OSBI could possibly get a search warrant. Say he brought harm to her in the house, there should still be some evidence of it. Killers often think they have covered all bases when cleaning the scene, but it seems they leave something behind.
My heart aches with cases such as Hope's, leaving the police with their hands tied and a killer free.
Did anyone notice his movements shortly after Hope's disappearance? Changing carpet in the house, anything of that nature?

Right after Hope's disappearance,her husband changed carpet in two rooms of the house.He tried to tell the OSBI that Hope had it planned for months,which is crap,she would have told mom or myself.He tells the children that their momma didn't love them and all kinds of things.
I am praying about this so,what with us now in 2010,I pray we get answers and closure.We are only a little over 6 weeks before the 8 year anniversary of her disappearance.

Hi Nanaof4,
What a beautiful website you have setup for Hope - I have read most everything that is on the site.
Who has custody of Hope's 3 children now as it wasn't clear to me in what I read - then again I read so much that some of the information is running together right now. If Jerry has custody of the 3 children, does your family get to spend time with them?
Is Jerry in the military like Hope's first husband? Is Jerry still in Oklahoma?
Sorry for so many questions but I would like to do some sleuthing to see if I can turn up anything.

Sorry haven't been on much,doing things to try to get Hope back in the publics eye in McCurtain county.They actually ran a story today (sun august 15, 2010) about Hope in the McCurtain Gazette. It was the feature,main story of the sunday paper.
And yes Jerry Meek has custody of the children,including the oldest who is not his daughter,but hope's daughter to her first husband. He is military just as the ex husband and he is still in valliant oklahoma,living in the house with his girlfriend.They now have a child together. We still fight to be able to be in the children's lives. We called to get them for our summer visitation and Tiffany (the girlfriend) said they would call back in a few days and never did,and that was in may.We called every week since then,leaving messages and never got a phone call back. We finally got to talk to the children AFTER SCHOOL STARTED BACK UP and we couldn't get them for our visitation time.

Hope Meek's Family Demands Answers in Loved One's Disappearance
bumping for Hope after I recv'd an email w/ link to an article written by David Lohr back in May.
Hope was last seen by Jerry Meek, her husband of four years, on the afternoon of Feb. 21, 2002, when he left their Section Line Road home in Valliant to go camping with the children. Meek later told police the couple was in the midst of a separation and that he left $500 for her when he left for the camping trip.
Later that day, Meek said he returned home because he decided it was too cold to camp outdoors. He said that Hope, along with the $500, was missing, but she had left her 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck, along with all of her belongings, including her cell phone.
Meek waited five days to report his wife missing.

Does anyone know where the husband supposedly went camping? maybe he buried her there. He sounds like he is hiding a lot of info.
BTW, my sister in law was murdered by her husband and I raised her 3 kids. We had a body to bury unlike Hopes family, and he is in prison. Prayers for this family to get answers and justice.
