Southern Scout, it's that kind of looking around the area and persistence that may very well lead to answers for the family. Thank you for your sincere efforts !

Southern Scout....
Thank you so much for looking for Bryce!! That is exactly how Robert Hall was discovered in New York, by a Websleuths member who would not give up...she kept looking and noticed an automobile antennae protruding from a pond....Bob had finally been found thanks to her tenacity.
Prayers for Bryce.....

according to this news piece from yesterday, Bryce's mother is now saying that Bryce DID leave the party.
so perhaps her earlier statement that he never left the party was wrong.

Now I'm sure he ran off the road, possibly into the water somewhere....but where??...how heartbreaking. I still get an ache in the pit of my stomach every time I see Bryce's photo.

the news pieces say that the water has been searched so I assume that means bodies of water on his intended route. If they were all negative, then I can only conclude he made a wrong turn and went off the road, water or no water.

I can't imagine how far off the road his truck would have to travel to make it invisible to people specifically looking for it. That's why I've always leaned towards him being in the water...sadly. I wonder if searchers have scoured ALL water sources, or just those on the path the family thinks would be the most obvious route. I guess I just keep going back to what one of his fellow partiers said about him. "Oh God. He was in no condition to be driving."
Is it not possible that Bryce wasn't even on the right path home? Is it possible that he turned the complete wrong way...that he was so trashed that didn't realize he was on the wrong road.
Recently, they've been airing national ads about texting while driving...and a girl will come on and say that this was the last text my friend was reading/writing when she lost her life.
Every time I see that commercial, I think of Bryce and what he may have been doing when he left that party. I know he texted someone, or recieved a text right before he was last heard from. I wonder if he was texting someone back..if he was reading a text and lost control. I just want to find him and give his family some closure.

I think they checked for the last phone or text message, but if he was in the process of texting when he ran off the road, there may be no record ot.
You bring up a good point Krista about whether he was totally off course on his ride home. I don't know what kind of waterways are there and whether they are fishable, but I think fishing season is upon us or close to it, so if there are fisherpersons in small boats, that might be the best bet.
I doubt LE is going to expend that kind of money to search every waterway.

I have a feeling that could be what happened to Bryce....if he really was as trashed as it sounds, it would be all too easy to get turned around and head off in the wrong direction. Also, good point that if he went off the road in the middle of sending a text there would be no record.
I have attempted to text while driving in the past and almost ran off the road - completely sober....terribly dangerous. Have to admit that I am not very coordinated but I can see why they have made it illegal.

This mom and her daughters went in the water in 1999 and the van was recently found.
She accidently went down a boat ramp, when she pulled over at night while it was raining. It is not easy to find a vehicle in the water.

How agonizing for the family to have to wait 11 years for answers. I pray that Bryce's family receives answers much faster for their sake.

I found this at IS...has a chronological listing of videos and articles regarding Bryce's disappearance.
(I'm new and not real good at copying/pasting links so please forgive me if this does not work.)

I keep hoping for news about Bryce.....but then again in a way I hope not to hear.......because at this late date it really can only be bad news, unfortunately.
Oh how I wish that weren't true....
