Judy and Walter Koenig (who played Pavel Chekov in the "Star Trek" series) tell TMZ the last time heard from Andrew was on February 9. They say his cell phone is turned off and that they have learned the last time his phone received a text was on February 16 in Vancouver.

They say he was last seen at a bakery in the Stanley Park area of Vancouver.

The Koenigs tell TMZ they plan to fly up to Vancouver in the next few days. They feel the police in Vancouver have been doing a good job so far.

In one article, it said he was not married, has no children.
It does seem though, he has his parents and his sister and her husband
and many friends.
But of course, I don't know if a relationship just ended or ?

I hope he has just taken some time away and will see all the twitters
and news articles and call someone.

Despondent Olympics Visitor Unaccounted For and Police Ask Public for Help in Finding Him

Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man last seen by friends on February 14th.

Andrew Koenig, 41, is a Venice, California resident, who was visiting friends in South Vancouver. He was scheduled to return home on February 16th and Vancouver Police were notified on February 18th after he didn’t arrive.

Andrew has recently been despondent and his family and friends are concerned for his well-being. He is white, 5’5” tall, 135 lbs., with long, brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.

Andrew, who once lived in Vancouver, liked walking in Stanley Park, but police believe he could be anywhere in the Vancouver area.

Anyone who sees Andrew or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Andrew Koenig never boarded his flight back to the US, and he hasn't heard from since then.

Andrew Koenig, 41, was working as a camera operator on the show "Never Not Funny" as well
as doing improv in Los Angeles. Best known as "Boner" from "Growing Pains", Andrew also
had a role in "Deep Space Nine", and is a talented actor director, editor and photographer as
well as a passionate activist. In 2008, he was arrested at the Rose Bowl while protesting
China's part in the genocide in the country of Burma.

This is a serious matter that has Koenig's friends and family gravely concerned. If you have

Growing Pains Star Andrew Koenig Is Missing

On Feb. 16, Walter Koenig received a note from his son Andrew, which caused his father to grow concerned about his whereabouts.

"He sounded despondent," says Walter, who spoke to PEOPLE from his Los Angeles home. "Nobody has seen this [note] but my wife and I."

Andrew still hasn’t returned to his Venice, Calif., residence. His father says there wasn’t a specific situation that would’ve prompted his disappearance.

"I think it’s something that has been a part of his makeup for a long time. There’s no single trauma. There’s no episode. There’s nothing of that nature," says Walter, who added that drugs were not an issue.

WALTER KOENIG & WIFE WORRIED ABOUT MISSING SON

Speaking to ET Sunday morning via telephone from their Los Angeles home, Walter and Judy fought back tears and spoke lovingly of their 42-year-old son, who Walter described as being "in a depressed state."

"We heard from him in early February when he was staying with friends in Toronto," said Judy. "He sounded fine, but I was worried about him."

Judy Koenig said that a text message was sent by one of Andrew's friends and received by Andrew's blackberry in the area of the sprawling Stanley Park in Vancouver in recent days, which could be an encouraging sign.

Walter said of the Vancouver police and their efforts to find his son, "They have been kind, sensitive, generous and just extraordinary. Two of their investigators are working tirelessly today on their day off. They have been wonderful and I ask people to call the number from the Vancouver Police department ... if you have any information."

Depression doesn't discriminate, unfortunately...it can hit any one of any social class and any place in the world. I hope he is all right. It does not sound promising and that is so scary.

Judy said that police have told her the last activity on his cellphone was on Feb. 16 when he was apparently in the Stanley Park area and that there was activity on his bank account at about the same time, but nothing since. One of his close friends is Vancouver Sun entertainment editor and former actor Maggie Langrick.

She was out searching for him in Stanley Park this weekend.

Langrick said Stanley Park was a "special place" for Koenig, whom she first met some 20 years ago.

She spoke with Koenig's parents Sunday and said they are deeply concerned after receiving a letter from him.

Langrick said his friends are worried about him because he is believed to have sold some possessions before flying to Canada, where he paid brief visits to close friends in Toronto and Montreal, and then Vancouver.

Asked to describe him, she said he is "a wonderful person with a very active social conscience."

"He is vegan for ethical reasons, and an active supporter of many causes, environmental, animal rights, human rights -- he is a very sensitive person who has struggled for a long time with depression. He has a lot of friends who love him deeply," she said.

Koenig lived in Vancouver from about 1989 to 1992 after he finished his work on Growing Pains.

I wonder if he has another myspace page; you would think friends would be commenting to him. He lists himself as single on the myspace page posted above, as well as not wanting children. He looks very different in the photos with short hair from his arrest, to the long hair he appears to have now.

Koenig was described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds, with brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes, authorities said.

I know Andrew to be intelligent, funny, caring, and generally warm natured person. For those that don’t know him, Andrew is best known for a role as “Boner” in the 80’s TV series Growing Pains. He played a minor role on a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode and appeared as The Joker in Batman: Dead End. Recently, Andrew has been working as a video producer for the podcast Never Not Funny. About ten years back, I went to an improve show featuring Andrew and a few other performers and never laughed so hard in my life. While we worked together, Andrew often made me bust out in stitches over an impression he would do.

After our stint together in the retail stores, I started manufacturing organic cotton and hemp apparel, Andrew was one of my first customers. Once I personally delivered to his home in Venice, California an order of men’s boxers just so I can hang out with him. He is really a great guy. Although those who are close to him know that he occasionally struggled with depression. Again, according to his father’s website: “Andrew was suffering from depression at the time of his disappearance. The last time the Koenig’s heard from Andrew by phone was on February 9. … On Feb. 16, Walter received a letter from his son Andrew, which caused his father to grow concerned about his whereabouts because of it's despondent tone. .. It is not believed that any specific incident prompted Andrew's disappearance. "I think it’s something that has been a part of his makeup for a long time. There’s no single trauma. There’s no episode. There’s nothing of that nature," says Walter, who added that drugs were not an issue.” I too have never known Andrew to have a drug or alcohol problem.

Andrew’s family and large circle of friends are all very concerned about his whereabouts. Andrew is 41 years old and was last seen with long hair, although he may have cut it off. Why would anyone think cracking jokes about a missing person was appropriate? If his point was to show that a child star gets airtime and others don't - he missed getting the point across by a mile.
