Columbus police have issued a missing adult alert for John Brown who suffers from Alzheimer’s.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Columbus police have issued a missing adult alert for John Brown.

Brown, 88, suffers from Alzheimer’s and was last seen leaving his home around 6 a.m. Monday.

He does not drive or have access to a car and and most likely left on foot. He is missing from his East Side home near James Road and Interstate 70.

He has gray hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a brown sweatshirt, brown slacks, a gray dress hat and house slippers.

I just watched the 6:00 P.M. news on WBNS Channel 10 tonight. WBNS-TV first had a live report at the start of their newscast.

John Brown, 88, of Columbus,Ohio who suffers from Alzheimer's disease is still missing at this hour. Columbus Police are still searching for him in his east side neighborhood.

A police helicopter hovered above the search area on Tuesday assisting search teams on the ground.

Columbus Police are asking residents of the search area bounded by Livingston Avenue, Barnett Road, I-70 freeway, and College Avenue to look in their sheds, culverts, ditches, wooded areas or other spaces where Brown could have become trapped or sought shelter.

A Columbus Police Sergeant told WBNS-TV tonight that they're hoping for the best but preparing for the worst and feared that it may not end up good.

I watched the 11:00 P.M. news on WBNS-TV tonight. WBNS-TV had a live report on this sad news.

Columbus Police made the announcement before 11:00 P.M. tonight that the body of John Brown was discovered tonight about a block away from where he was last seen.
