NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating a tourist who was last seen on Bourbon Street early Friday.
Police said 54-year-old Douglas Schantz, a Houston resident, was last seen by friends in the 500 block of Bourbon Street at about 2 a.m.
Schantz was reported missing by his wife, Lori, after he missed his flight with his daughter Friday morning. His family advised that this is uncharacteristic of him not to be seen nor heard from.
Schantz is described as a white man, about 200 pounds and 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build, blue eyes and short, straight, dirty blond hair. He was last seen wearing a navy blue blazer, white collared shirt and an unknown color tie.
Anyone with information on Schantz's whereabouts should contact the NOPD at 504-821-2222, 911, or Detective Gwen Guggenheim at 504-658-5300.

"Last time he was seen was 2:00 a.m. leaving Razzoo's and on video surveillance he took a right instead of a left, that's all we know." NOPD Homicide investigators spent Saturday afternoon talking with business owners along Bourbon Street. Defillo says "We've checked his bank records their inactive, cell phones their inactive.
