A man has been missing since Thursday afternoon when he left for a music gig in Idaho.

Louis Rogers, 67, and traveling alone, left his Lakeside residence for St. Maries, Idaho around 3:30 p.m. March 11, but never reached his destination, according to a press release from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

The musician was reported missing after he failed to show up at the venue. His family told authorities this is out of character, as Rogers always calls and is a reliable person.

It is unknown which route Rogers took to the Idaho town that is approximately four and a half hours away.

“It’s possible he could be over the bank and trying to call out,” said Flathead County Sheriff’s Sgt. Lance Norman, who noted that although Rogers has a cell phone, reception between Lakeside and St. Maries is terrible and there are very few cell phone towers.

Rogers’ phone rings once, then goes to voicemail, said Norman, making it hard to track the phone’s location.

Rogers reportedly has numerous medical problems and is using oxygen. Had he gone off the road, he probably wouldn’t have the strength to climb up the bank, said Norman.

Rogers was last seen driving a red 1996 Cadillac STS four-door sedan, Montana license DX 28747.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office at: 758-5585.

A musician from Flathead County who was missing since Thursday was found safe.

Crews searched for three days for 67-year-old Louis Rogers. We're told he left Lakeside for a music gig in Idaho Thursday. But, he never showed up at the venue. Now, we learned Rogers' car broke down. A couple came upon him Sunday as he was writing goodbye letters to his family. Rogers is a diabetic and has numerous other health problems. He thought he might not make it without his medicine.

We're told Rogers was taken to the St. Regis Hospital and walked in as some family members were there waiting for information.
