My question is has Asa's status now changed from being labeled a "victim" of her husband who is criminally charged of being the serial killer of 4 women to her being an ally of her husband who is criminally charged of killing 4 women?
IMO: She's not "withholding judgement" when she claims Rex is not capable of having killed 4 women and she hasn't yet heard all the evidence that will be presented at trial which is her reason for saying that she is "withholding judgment" and giving him the "benefit of the doubt" when she already judged him as being innocent.
"Though Ellerup filed for divorce shortly after Heuermann was arrested, she visits him weekly in prison and “still maintains that Rex is not capable of the crimes he is accused of,” per her attorney."
"I will listen to all of the evidence and withhold judgment until the end of trial. I have given him the benefit of the doubt, as we all deserve,” Asa Ellerup said in a statement issued through her attorney, Robert Macedonio"
