Out of over 10,500 MP's on my list, there are no middle-aged white males missing before Feb'83 with the initials PW, and only one with the initials CS (Claude Shelton). He's way too short to be this guy.

I tried to look for matches and while none are great, I noticed something odd about the UID's profile.

his skin was in good enough condition for them to have photographed the tattoos and post them for public viewing but I don't see any reference to hair color or eye color. surely he had some body hair.

A long shot because of the time and distance but his initials are CS and he was a transient who was known to travel using freight trains at the time of disappearance. Height estimate is within an inch and age would be in the range if deceased in 1983. Not sure if the watch would be consistent with a homeless person.

The UID is in Namus but Namus lists him as being found in Doniphan county and not Shawnee. Dentals are mostly natural teeth, a couple of fillings or postmortem loss.

One rule out: Ron Knutson, born in 1955, from California.

As mentioned above, the Namus page shows that this UID was found in Doniphan County. This is the extreme northeast corner of the state, a fair distance from Shawnee County/Topeka.

Is William P Ferguson a ruleout for this UID?
Missing Person Case

He was older than he UID, but other stats match, including a tattoo of initials on his left arm. His first and middle name start with P and W.

Do we know the locations of the UID tattoos?

Ron Knutson is the only R/O on NAMUS...I didn't see any info on the location of the tattoos...

is there a hair color listed in this profile? if there is I missed it.
DoeNetwork and Namus list his hair as Brown.

I wonder if he could be Ronald Robert Tippitt aka Ricard Lais (among other aliases - this is the name his Kansas MP file is listed under) www.kbi.ks.gov/MissingPersons/Search/Details/M102612375
He would have been 39 in 1983, fit the height and other descriptors (white male, brown hair). The estimated weight is off by 20lb but that is nothing over the course of a few years.

Ronald's WS thread draws together a number of reasons why Robert/Ricard may have wanted to "fly under the radar". Is it possible he deliberately disappeared - under yet another alias - for a few years only to show up deceased as this UID?

www.websleuths.com/forums/threads/mo-robert-ronald-tippit-36-kansas-city-january-1-1980.487431/

Note the UID's Namus file has not been updated since 2017 and there is still only one visible ruleout.

Ron Knutson is the only exclusion still.
