West Mesa Murders Q&A Thread

He was proven not to be the West Mesa Serial killer, and neither was Montoya. The Mo is completely different, and organized verse disorganized. We like to look for people with records because it gives us comfort that it’s easy to spot the bad guy, however this guy has no record.

I was reviewing the time-lapse photography of the burial site and what jumps out at me is the development of the area. The area is rural right up until the murders stopped (2004 / 2005)- which is when the subdivision was defined. Is my timeline right?

I'm new to this discussion and assume this has been asked before... but why conclude that anything stopped? I looks to me that the remote area being used for burial / disposal all of a sudden became too public for that purpose? Might the killer have moved on to another area for burial?

I'm not sure anything ever stopped either, I mean DO serial killers stop? also the two people they suspected don't fit, my interest was definitely peaked by the possibility of someone on the APD being involved. He could of quite possibly moved though, id like to know if any murders or remains were found in some other state in the year he went quiet.
