According to the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, the family of Maegan Hembree will hold a vigil on Thursday, February 26 at 7:00 pm. The vigil will be located at the Lubbock County courthouse.

“The family is having a candle light vigil to mark the second anniversary of her disappearance,” LSO said. “The event will be held to continue to bring about awareness of the case for the family and friends of Maegan. All are welcome and encouraged to attend to support victims and their families.”

Investigators believe Michael Todd Ramsey knows what happened to Maegan. But the 49-year-old from Mesquite is missing and wanted for violating his parole in connection with an unrelated case, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Sgt. Bo Roberts said.

Ramsey was last seen around Mesquite in October — not long after he was released from the Lubbock County Detention Center on charges unrelated to the Hembree case. He was supposed to report to a parole officer in East Texas, but never did.
