Indeed. Ted Bundy grew up thinking his mother was his sister. Jeff Dahmer had a pretty average family but was traumatised by his parent's divorce. Everybody's got a history that helps to shape who they become. Many of us here though had dysfunctional and even sometimes abusive childhoods. As such, I don't think this testimony is going to go far to sway the hearts and minds of the WS community.
Just a hunch, from past cases.

Yep, quite honestly I don't think there is a single person on the planet who hasn't had to go through something or another in their lives and yet the vast majority of people do not go on to kill. There is something else in the make up of a killer, i.e. that they are not wired up in the same way as other people, and which has nothing to do with any life experience they may have had (imo, of course!)

R: What's the relationship between anxiety and security?

V: ...increasing anxiety means you can PERCEIVE you are not safe....if there is a situation where you really are not safe, it can be much worse....

Hypervigilant - broken window, open balcony doors, ladders outside, not sure of effectiveness of alarm, friendly guard dogs - I hate this carp.

She is saying he became 'hypervigilant' when he moved to Silverwoods.

Aww your wee dog. Give them a cuddle from me please :-) Is the shirt the equivalent of our "thunder-shirt" in the UK? They help loads of nervous dogs. X

Thank you for the good wishes. Yes, it's also called a "thunder shirt". If she offends again, I don't think that the local counsel will take her psychiatric condition (anxiety) as a mitigating condition.

how long has she spent with him? ...has she not noticed the pathological lying...

BritsKate, how do you think judges in general accept psychiatric testimony?

Dr V just stated : "He does not smoke or take drugs" .. how can she possibly know that?

Ooo... OP liked to have people stay very often at his house overnight.

Did she really say that pre verbal children can't be soothed by their mothers after an operation? Sounds like cr*p to me. Pre verbal infants continuously make their needs known in a myriad of ways and responsive parents will have no difficulty working out when their babies need soothing.

I do love this sort of testimony though.

He was distressed, crying and retching. He feels devastated that he killed his girlfriend. She believes his feelings were genuine.

V: He didn't want to be alone. He always invited friends over...he felt isolated and alone....he does not drink during training but admits he drinks at other times and sometimes gets intoxicated. He does not smoke or take drugs...

In V's opinion his devastation at Reeva's death is genuine and so is the retching - 'he became pale and sweated profusely. That cannot be feigned'.

Yes he's anxious now, because he doesn't want to go to jail! Doesn't mean he was like that prior to this.

Hypervigilant - broken window, open balcony doors, ladders outside, not sure of effectiveness of alarm, friendly guard dogs - I hate this carp.

Expensive cars left outside, safe in his bedroom accesssible by his dad...

Retching with pale face = Not Guilty
Retching with red face = Guilty

Let's look at the photos......
