Talking about the sketch, If someone asked me what the guy looked like the first thing I would say is that he looks like Porky pig, because that is the first thing I thought when I saw his picture.

:seeya: I've been following, but haven't posted on this thread yet.

:floorlaugh: Jo in Calif, you're right. He does kind of look like PP.
My two cents on composite drawings: I think the over all picture is what's important. There's no way all the details (nose, mouth, etc) are going to match when drawing from memory, especially somebody else's memory. When you compare the drawing to the pic of SA, it looks so much like him it's uncanny. JMO :)

I'd really like to know what evidence the state has against Autry. I would think it would HAVE to be more than just " ZA said you did it." , or " DA said he saw you with the body.

Stuff like this drives me nuts.

:seeya: I agree ... this case makes me :scared:

At the last presser, TBI said that they did not have a body ... but do they have enough forensic evidence ? JMO but juries like forensic evidence, so they better deliver it !

Holly Bobo Murder Suspect Jason Autry Speaks Out About Case

Jason Autry sat down with reporter Nick Beres via a video uplink from Riverbend Maximum Security Prison where he said he's being held in segregation for his own safety.

...

He said he has no idea what happened to Bobo.

"I don't want to speculate and make a rumor of what happened to the girl," Autry said.

Holly Bobo Murder Suspect Jason Autry Speaks Out About Case

Investigators said a key witness -- thought to be Zach Adams' younger brother Dylan -- reported seeing Bobo alive in Zach's home after she disappeared and that she was there with Zach and Autry.

"He's been lying his way all this time. You know he got himself in a little trouble and he's down there in Obion County and he don't want to do his time and he's making stuff up to get out of it," Autry stated.

Autry said Dylan can't stand his brother.

Maybe someone with a better grasp of the law in TN could weigh in but since he has publicly put out his and Zach previous "run ins" with the law can't that now be brought into trial when the time comes?

JMO's

Any defense attorney will ask the Judge to leave those out. It's up to the Judge to decide what is relevant, but mostly they leave out previous unrelated charges.

More from the Autry Interview:

Autrey conceded he and Zach had several run-ins with the law over the years. And, Autry said while he was serving time on one arrest in 2012 TBI agents paid him the first of many visits to press him on the Bobo case.

bbm

The Lord does work in mysterious ways. If JA had a true jailhouse faith conversion, good for him. However, the above bolded provides us with one nugget of info. He was being questioned about Holly in 2012. Could this be the impetus for the purported religious experience? Already scheming 2 years ago.

BBM: IIRC, the news article about JA's religious conversion came out at the end of 2013 or beginning of 2014 ... when I get more time, I will try to find the correct date.

JMO and MOO but I do not believe anything regarding this so-called "conversion" ... just a bunch of B S from this career criminal ...

Yep ... he has been "scheming" for the past 2 years and he will continue to "scheme" ...

I found this in the Jackson Sun:

Jason Autry's name and photograph last appeared in the Parsons paper, The News Leader, in a full-page feature story about redemption.

The main photo of the story, which ran Feb. 5, was one of Autry behind thick glass at the Decatur County Jail with a phone to his ear. A book titled "God's Word" was tucked close to his chest.

Does anyone have a link to the original News Leader article ?

TIA !

BBM - Playing armchair psychologist here, he certainly seems to be objectifying Holly here by calling her "the girl". I would assume one way of avoiding any feelings of guilt if it is no longer a person whose life you took, but an object, as in "the girl".

The article about Autry's "religious conversion" is dated February 5, 2014.

So ... career criminal decides to turn into a choir boy ...

Sorry, but NOT buying it ...

JMO, but these people are not foolhardy nor do I think Mark Gwynn is going to risk his career by filing charges way beyond what the evidence supports. Anyone who has not read his official bio, really should. The man has accomplishments and did not get to where he is by rashly going "all in" with an ace high hand. I've linked to it below. If they're considering the DP, they have got some good forensics.

Just like their answer about the video tape, LE's do like to be sneaky with their semantics and if they found only her bones, they would classify that as skeletal remains. I don't think they would feel the least bit guilty about saying "no, we haven't found her body". Because they haven't. They have found a collection of bones that used to be her body.

Also, it's possible that knowing something about how they disposed of her body could give a witness credibility. And, if so, they would guard that information very closely - probably right up to lying to the press about what they have.
