The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 30th June - Trial Day 12, Week 3

I have to be honest -- would love TM to come storming back into court with the item that nails his coffin shut

I had hoped the same..

to this day, I believe his message ' leave it to me' has it all wrapped up. . And I do believe she knows what that meant, too..

one in prison for Alisons murder will have to suffice.. I can live with that.

I know, I know. but Gerald is a congenital liar.. . . sworn on oath has as much meaning to him as my dog being told she can drive the car.. .. both believe it, both think they are doing it, if I hold her paws to the wheel.

I am familiar with Scorps.. am one myself. Nothing will persuade Toni that Gerard didn't murder for her.. her her her.. nothing.. that will never happen. That is her life as she sees it.. even a lobotomy wouldn't change that. . its in her bones..

Freaking hell. I cringed when lazerdisc mentioned Scorpios. I knew you were a Scorpio.

they could grow old together in perfect harmony in the visiting room of the Brissie prison.. for years!!.. and years and years and years.. greying, wrinkled, but hers, hers, hers...

Uncomplicated, audience free love without cloaks and daggers and no competition ?

Now where's the fun in that !!

Next you'll be suggesting black tie, white fluff and vows and bows and messy, needy babies.

Snowy never looked so good!!

Second, third time round the block, in the clink. Ah TM can dream.

Don't kill my hope Trooper .... waaaaahhhh

In Fig Tree's compilation, I was gratified to see that according to GBC, TM threw things at him -- she told him to get out of her life -- told him he'd ruined three years of her life .... and more

So she was weighing her emotional investment prior to and during those outbursts. And those outbursts revealed she saw through him - and was trying every trick in the book to win -- to win -- to win -- to bend him to HER will

Scopios like to win, to control. And when they don't get their own way -- they destroy ! (at least that's the case with the Scorpios in my life)

I want to see the Destroyer side of TM in all its black and purple fury, back up there on the stand -- and spilling her guts

Makara - it started out as a list to make comparisons of evidence submitted prior to today regarding the subject. Then I realized how big a job that would be. Its all there - its easier to just keep reading down the list and having the flashbulb lighting up when you notice an inconsistency. Then it resembles a bad Newcastle Under 18's Disco night.

If you don't mind, I'll copy and paste it (with a link to your post) to the Media thread.

haa.. Lazer was right. Scorps are big on revenge.. .. time doesn't matter to a scorp on that item.

But see, Toni has already had her revenge.. in the worst way possible, but .. in the actual fact of it. ..

I feel the same but it ain't gonna happen. The prosecution have closed their case and TM has been excused from the trial. The only way TM could be called back is if the prosecution re-opened their case to present new evidence and it would have to be pretty good for them to do that. I do think that the prosecution have a few grenades up their sleeve that they're going to lob at GBC during cross examination. Bet he'll cry for real when that happens.

well. She has destroyed.. that cant be argued.. as much destruction as even a Scorp would be satisfied with.. but to expect she wants Gerard destroyed. no way. he is her ... icon . her idol.

oh she saw thru him but that's irrelevant.. seeing thru him is part of the game.. . he played it, she played it. ..

welldone, Makara!!..

the bit I like about it is, that Elaine was so taken with Toni that SHE persuaded Gerard to employ her.. ....

All a parent wants for their first born / any son is his needs met / happiness.

May this pray stop him coming round here whining and crying about it all the time...

Thank heavens the other two aren't within driving distance to burden Nige an I about THEIR unfulfilled expectations!!

I think Mr Boyle doesn't have much interest in nailing Gerard for a crime passionale.. . because, frankly, it wasn't that, it was a crime fiscal. this is the colder crime, the heavier crime and one that juries around the world have a deep understanding for.. . much more so, oddly, that any passion evinced by a couple of has been fortyyear old dunces.. .

the jury will understand the money. more than anything else. they will understand the con, the scam, the gamble, and the concept. .

Well they've been a little one-step forward two step back - perhaps it's to allow such moves.

Yes !

One inconsistency regarding GBC trying get rid of Tony is that; in the Police Forensic Order TM says GBC recontacted her first to re-kindle the Affair.

Not the other way around.

MCHUGH further stated that in December 2011 the defendant made contact with her again at which time their relationship recommenced.

Do we have a link to the Application for Forensic Procedure Order in the links somewhere? I don't have it.

To read it further - outlines what was in TM's statement she gave to the Police at the time ABC went missing. There was an outline of TM and GBC future plans together and what was necessary to put in place - such as financial security - before he divorced ABC.

Thats not what GBC reflected today.

.

People say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one..... or words to that effect.

Initially I was totally surprised by the prosecution's softly, softly approach. And then I got to thinking. Did they have GBC sussed out from the start? Did they have a feeling in their waters that he would take the stand? I reckon they did. They played the narcissist at his own game.

Did you know that prosecution and defence barristers quite often socialise together, sit down and have a drink together after 'work'? Just saying.

Fig Tree, comes down to He Said vs She Said

Defence and Prosecution have to share all evidence and documentation, from what I hear. So prosecution didn't choose to focus on that particular situation as it would probably add nothing to their case. And defence has capitalized on that and is making it a central plank of GBC's testimony in the deluded belief they can paint GBC in a more moral light to influence the jury

The jury won't care who left whom. They must be sick of the soap opera by now

all part of the game.. Laser knows how that one is played, .. you wait until your chosen victim is on the ropes.. notice how she says she had accepted his ultimatum and had, in fact , stopped ringing and mailing and coo-eeing Gerard... this would be intolerable to him. What.. stop?? huh?? ... he had nowhere near finished .... She was his chosen victim, but he was hers ,equally.. while it didn't look like an equal partnership, him and Toni, in many many ways, and in the ways that count , it was precisely that.

What is really annoying me is that GBC phoned TM at her place of employment, Blocksidge & Ferguson, (07) 3233 3988 at 2:43pm on Thursday 19 April 2012. The call lasted for over five minutes. Mr. <Makarasnip> didn't mention that in court and it seems he didn't delete that call from the call log. I just hope that the prosecution hit GBC with this one.

luring Gerard ever onward, Makara.. .. letting Nige and Olivia think they had nailed it, .... knowing they would be conveying to Gerard this ...

knowing Gerards desire to compete with Nige and Olivia, too. extra bonus...

And Allison was pivotal. She held them together. They were both having a good old time making Allison suffer

I regard TM as very masculine. And GBC as very effeminate
