Small Details that are interesting in the Cooper Harris case, #1

Correct me if I'm remembering wrong but didn't he visit some website about "the faces of death?" And later he says to his wife,.."I was dreading what he would look like."

Was he visiting that website to view strangers faces in death to steel himself for what he was going to see, to prepare AGAIN for what he dreaded?

Think about it...he's planning this murder...thinking..."But ugh....how bad is this going to be for ME?" He's getting squeamish. So what would a tech guy who is worried about HIMSElf do? He would go to a website and see if he could handle what he was going to see.

He had already researched what his Baby was going to endure and that was gone with him...but now he was looking out for himself....is this going to be too much...for ME?

A collection of death scenes, ranging from TV-material to home-made super-8 movies The common factor is death by some means.

This was an old low-budget "snuff" film featuring things like people and animals being consumed by predators, as well as executions, etc. Many of these were captured accidentally on nature programs, but some were filmed intentionally (executions).

What Ross saw was NEWER low-budget snuff-type video posted on a chat/message forum. I do not know if there are a lot of websites around that provide this sort of content, but know of two that were active in the early 2000s. Both had extreme pornographic content as well, and were NOT saved in my "Favorites" by any means, but I know "bangedup.com" sometimes had funny "Jackass" type stunts I saw a few of. And when there were three American engineers captured by the Taliban and beheaded, I thought the video I had clicked on would NOT include the brutal execution. On the news, the video was always stopped before that point, and I was shocked when "ogrish.com" had the full video available. It was definitely one of those "wish I could un-see that" moments. I do not know if either of these sites is still running, or if any of this sort of footage is reflective of what Ross was looking at, but assume when they said "war" that it was more like executions, war victims, etc. and not so much of people hitting monkeys with mallets.

Small Details that are interesting to me are that Cooper's rear-facing infantseat had the straps positioned in the tightest/smallest possible way; thereby, imho, so Cooper would not wiggle out before his time was up.

The positioning of the straps into the tightest position is as incriminating as using the too small car carrier for his 22mo son whose tiny head protruded over the top a couple of inches. Had Ross slammed on the brakes earlier that morning, Cooper could have suffered a whiplash from the unsafe infant carrier. I hope the straps are scraped for DNA bc I want to know, among other things, who put those two straps in the lowest position for Cooper.

I was just thinking the same thing, DD. This seems so incriminating to me, and it is hard to imagine how RH could be so stupid to say this. In general I wonder how this could have been so poorly carried out by both LH and RH. How could a Web Designer not know his electronic trail would not be followed?

While I really believe this was planned, it just seems so, hmmmm, not even sure what the word is. I would say 'juvenile' but think most teenagers would be more saavy than the two of them. Amateur maybe. But I guess they would be, having no experience getting rid of a baby. :tears:

My guess is that he assumed nobody would look at his electronic trail. Most of these type of cases are just assumed to be tragic accidents.
I wonder how much investigation police normally do, if any. Anyhow, he could have easily assumed nobody would look deeply into what he was up to, from reading about these other cases.

If he didn't mouth off to the police and have his phone taken away (and I'm sure they looked through it at that time), he probably could have gotten away with it, at least until after Cooper's funeral.

Deleting files on his digital trail and driving some distance before pulling that car over didn't help his alibi either.

Okay, gngrsnap, I love the way you think (and I've changed my mind on things because you've made excellent points), but this is getting way too Geraldo for me.

Don't you think at this point that Ben is creating his own little drama in which he is the victim? OF COURSE RH's family will be mad at Ben for trashing their son all over the national media in every possible venue. That makes perfect sense. Did Ben think he would be welcome in that family after this? Did he think they would say anything except, "You'd better keep the flip away from us in the future"?

I mean, Ben is making a lot of allegations and basically calling RH guilty before the trial has even started. People presume Ben has some inside knowledge and he is taking advantage of this.

I am tired of Ben. I think he needs to step back and see a counselor. JMO.
I think there may be some feelings for Leanna?
He seems to have lived a very sheltered life. He's been offered money and so far has refused it, allegedly.
I think he needs to talk it out and social media might not be the best place to do that.
I agree a therapist might be a better option.

ahhh! The poor monkeys! That's what stuck with me, I can still see it in my mind. :(

Yes. It's still out there. In fact there is an emtire underground web... Where people can buy drugs, pay for hits etc, I don't even wanna know... but they say that there is no way to trace the activities because of the servers they use. And they don't use cash or credit there are coins or something so that can't even be traced.
Real snuff films- I saw one, it was horrific! Like you said you can't unsee it.

Which is why I don't understand Leanna, how she could sit there when they were talking about Cooper. I would have been in the floor. Then again she didn't see him.

Incredibly, while at the jailhouse processing center, Harris was so relaxed he took a 15-minute nap! Although Harris quickly became chummy with Mark, who’d been given a one-day sentence for DUI, he never revealed his alleged crime.

Eager to chat, Harris asked anyone within earshot, “So what are you in here for?” and demanded, “How long is this going to take?” When a film was interrupted for a jailhouse announcement, Harris muttered, “Now we can’t watch TV, I guess.”

He went to sleep??? And this is when he was questioned or after he was arrested?

I honestly thought the first NE article would be an interview with one of RH sexting partners, lol!

Wow, that article is sooo damaging if true. JMO

In this still shot, photo, you are correct.
There's no tilt of RH's head. Looks like bailiff is talking with RH.

From the video, that I have seen, (sorry no link - it's in the pch hearing if I'm not mistaken)
There is a slight tilt and turn of RH's head, it happens rather quickly but to me it is noticeable. It also looks like RH say huh, or what but no way to be sure.

I know that tilt very well, it's done out of habit, for one who has hearing loss. Sometimes after the tilt up goes the hand to cup the ear.
Well, obviously RH can't do that :giggle:

Not that it matters (except to my own opinion ) but I have had hearing problems my whole life - it can be frustrating at times. :moo:

Often a regular daycare provider will have the parent supply diapers in advance by bringing a package in when they are low, and will require a blanket, pillow, and at least one change of clothes be left at the center. A bag might not be necessary if the center prepares lunch and snacks.

NancyA

One small detail that has been niggling me - the diaper bag. Where was Cooper's diaper bag? He would have needed one right? Change of clothes, spare diapers or pull-ups, sippy cup, favourite toy? I haven't seen a mention of it in the search warrants. Did the cops find one? Did RH keep it on the back seat? If so what kind of bag is it? Did he make a subconscious slip that day and not bring one with him figuring Cooper wouldn't need it...?

Here is the G+ page for RH:

https://plus.google.com/115535115215902896690

You can see several profiles in his circles as well as those who have him in a circle.

In those lists, you will see a profile for LH.

I posted this link in the RH Social Media thread, but I am not sure that thread is really open for discussion. My apologies if it shouldn't be discussed here. Just not sure where to place it. Of course, it might not interest anyone but me.

If you scroll through the few public posts you'll see him discussing "hangouts". That was once an android/google feature that I think is pretty stock on most droid phones now. I recall some discussion about textings apps. This can be downloaded for iphone and it can be used for communicating via text/video.

I've removed a paragraph of this post since the post on the RH social media thread was edited by a mod. My apologies, as I didn't think mentioning other family members was a violation of TOS. It was strictly mentioned as confirmation that this was the correct profile. Additionally, his posts I mentioned are public.

I am pretty sure the death site he visited would have been r/watchpeopledie. It's a pretty popular subreddit.
