OR OR - Stephanie Warner, 43, Ruch, 4 July 2013 - #3

I have followed Stephanie's case since soon after her disappearance. From a distance. I have PM'd some of you; but don't believe I have ever actually posted. Anyway, ..........you guys are impressive.

Now, this is where I go off topic (OT). (I learned that from you all). :)

There is a new missing person case in Oregon. Nothing to do with Steph, but could you guys maybe take a look. It's Jennifer Huston, Dundee, Oregon. Because I think you are THAT good.

Welcome! It's nice to know you've been lurking. :) Thanks for your kind words. This is an outstanding group that has plugged away for Stephanie.

I will post the link to Jennifer's thread #2 (already!). They are really busy over there, doing a great job.

I'm wondering how the searches have been going that Detective Henderson told KTVL about on July 11. He asked for volunteers and I hope some locals stepped up.
I would have loved to help, but this old bod isn't up to tromping around the woods anymore. :HHJP:

Let's hope Detective Henderson will give us an update at the 13 month mark on Monday August 4.

I'm waiting eagerly to see someone behind bars. :behindbar:

Lots of fires here in southern Oregon from lightning strikes in the past two days.

http://kobi5.com/news/local-news/it...river-siskiyou-forest-grows.html#.U9sxl2K9KSN

The biggest one is almost 6000 acres in the mountains outside Ashland. It blew up really fast. Mandatory evacuations in that area. Here is Roma reporting.

There are more fires just over the CA border to the south.

http://kobi5.com/news/local-news/item/northern-california-fires.html#.U9szWGK9KSN

I may blow the margins with this, but here is a phone photo my husband took this evening of the southwest edge of a cloud, that on the satellite map covered half of Oregon and stretched from the CA to the WA border. Just this little corner of it was jaw-dropping! The photo doesn't actually do it justice--imagine that both the mountains and the cloud are much higher.

Just popping in to say hello and read any updates.

I'm still here following Stephanie's thread. Unfortunately, can only pop in and out between work tasks. Thanks so much to everyone that keeps it active!!

Still reading and hoping Stephanie will soon be found.

Thank you to those popping in now and then and following along. It really helps to know you are here. :tyou::tyou:::tyou::tyou:

As I roamed around the internet this morning, looking for something, anything, that might help find Stephanie, I came up empty on that subject, but found an interesting resource for investigators in her case.

Googling Randy Arnold, the JCSO detective who is listed as the person to contact on Stephanie's NAMUS profile https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/case_report_html/21345
(why not Detective Henderson?), led me to the Oregon Homicide Investigators Association. Arnold is on their advisory board. http://www.orhia.org/about.htm

Is see that Arnold is mentioned in older stories as a deputy medical examiner, but I haven't found anything recent about him so far. But I digress...

OHIA is having a conference in Bend next month and will be discussing a variety of cases, including the very complicated no-body murder investigation of Maria Bolanos-Rivera of Hillsboro. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...-Hillsboro-26-August-2012-E-V-S-chgd-w-murder

http://topics.oregonlive.com/tag/maria%20bolanos-rivera/index.html

I hope Detective Henderson or someone connected to Stephanie's case will attend. The registration fee goes from $250 to $325 after August 8.

It's always heart-warming to see the bumps/updates on this thread, because WS, and Stephanie's friends, too - neither will let up, give up, or forget about Stephanie.

Justice, soon, I pray.

Thanks for the encouragement! It really helps. As do prayers.

I'm hopeful that the searches Henderson spoke of will give him what he needs to make an arrest, even without finding Stephanie.

Hi Websleuths Family, I hope youre all well. Its great to see Stephanie's case highlighted here again and so many new sleuthers involved! I have 2 questions: 1-Have any of you who have submitted your names to volunteer for the new searches been contacted back? I have not been called back... And 2-- I am looking for someone trustworthy to co-administer the Stephanie Anne Warner--Missing Person facebook and twitter pages. They are set to post simultaneously so all you would need is a facebook acct.... We can set up a fake acct for this purpose, if youre concerned about your identity being revealed. The ideal person would be known to someone accountable here and verifiable in their identity.(lol, no Jared, this is not a job for you). I need this because I am often traveling off the grid and I am still worried I will miss something important....

I'm sorry to go a little off topic here, but I had to comment on the photo. It's stunning. Not only the subject matter, but the color, composition, the deep focus and arrangement of objects -- all lovely. My hat's off to your DH.

In retrospect, it does seem opportunities were missed. Maybe there was a fear Lennie Ames would lawyer up and refuse to answer questions, or disappear, if publicity became intense?

As he did disappear when he was named a POI, it seems those fears were grounded. For someone who stood his ground and fought for his 'right' to squat and live where he wasn't allowed to for so long, I find it deeply suspicious he upped and ran away from this.

I can volunteer if no one else has.

I can do twitter, if that's any help. Facebook is beyond me.

Our other missing Oregon woman Jennifer Huston has been found deceased. Almost immediately, compared to Stephanie. But I always felt the cases were very different, and no foul play would be involved in Jennifer's case.

My thoughts go out to Jennifer's loved ones.

I have no idea how I quoted my own post, above, along with Tarika's. Sorry.
