I can see the turtle being associated with a child but because its on her buttock I would think it was associated with an intimate partner. I'm thinking a mom would have put the tattoo someplace like her arm, leg, back, over her heart. IMO

Note that Lee is particularly popular as a middle name. IMHO it's more likely the UID had his first and middle name tattooed, especially if he used them both as a sort of extended first name, than his first and last. The latter seems a bit formal but I might be wrong.

There was a male UID found in Severn Danza Park in 1985, ten miles from the alley where this Jane Doe was left. He is still listed as unidentified in NamUs and Doe Network, but per the article below he was identified sometime between 2009 and 2011 as Curtis Jones, a convicted offender. It's a long shot, but could his middle name have been Lee? He of course couldn't have had anything to do with Jane Doe's death but he could have been someone she was dating before he disappeared.

The only other college besides Maryland I could find that uses a turtle mascot is Beloit, in Wisconsin. The Turtle Mound, a prehistoric native American structure, is on campus behind the library. There's also a Terrapins swim team in Texas. They're a private team for younger kids.

Maryland's terrapin is nearly always shown standing on his rear legs, in a fighting pose. (His name is Testudo, by the way.) I suppose it's possible the might use their real name but it seems odd since pimps don't want their girls to know their real names. They use they nicknames to keep the girls from knowing who they really are.

The age is off by quite a bit, and the eye color difference of gray vs brown, and the hair color of auburn vs brown. But everything else seems to match up, including the scar on the abdomen.



The left photo is Shannon, center is the same recon we already had for the UID, and the right photo is a new recon. Overall, I don't think the new recon looks as much like Shannon as the old one, but the old one's nose looked different from Shannons, while I think the new one's looks more similar to Shannon's.

I decided to take a long shot and submitted Shannon as a PM. I know the age is really far off (Shannon would have been 16, UID min. age was 24) but to me they look eerily similar - then when I saw they both had the abdominal scar, it kept bugging me. I'll update if I hear anything.
