July 11 LE conclude search at southeast Calgary landfill and focus their efforts on an acreage north of the city and the Spyhill Landfill site. Also have a tactical unit at the Airdrie acreage to deal with dangerous and flammable chemicals that were found on the property. Asking people/businesses/oil companies in the Airdrie and Parkhill/Stanley Park areas to check their properties for absolutely anything out of the ordinary.
July 11 Members of Liknes family confirm in the media that beef between AL and DG was over patent filed years ago by AL; family says it was AL's invention

Also that evidence at the Liknes home indicates the three family members left the residence against their will. LE ask anyone who attended the estate sale to contact them and that LE will be at Parkhill Community Centre on July 3 to meet with them. People are being asked to bring photos of what they bought to help investigators catalogue what was purchased and what remains in the house.

July 11 LE conclude search at southeast Calgary landfill and focus their efforts on an acreage north of the city and the Spyhill Landfill site. Also have a tactical unit at the Airdrie acreage to deal with dangerous and flammable chemicals that were found on the property. Asking people/businesses/oil companies in the Airdrie and Parkhill/Stanley Park areas to check their properties for absolutely anything out of the ordinary.

I got home from a road trip a few hours ago but didn't check my phone till about a minute ago (I'm not of the tethered to my phone crowd). Here's the sucky bit. A friend from another forum is in town for a meet & greet.

I can't make it due the distance and my sleepiness.

I wanted to talk to him about what it was like to deal with DG when DG was at the chemical testing company. I've never asked him in email as he's not an emaily person and would have liked to talk about DG in person with him.

So it is the omission of the words "DNA evidence" that is hanging you up?
The way "I" see it... The Chief of Police would not have gone on record as definitively stating that the three victims were dead, if there WASN'T sufficient DNA evidence. In order for the declaration of death to be solely based on bank inactivity, they would have needed more than four days to make that determination.

They were declared dead after 2 weeks of bank inactivity. How does 4 days fit in here? CH made a statement and was asked questions that he replied quite vaguely yet reiterated certain statements over again. A more clear statement to include the words " DNA Evidence" would have for me and for many others (JMO) been more conclusive and understood. I interpret it differently, in that LE had to make sure to not say "DNA Evidence". Theories aside I just do not think they have the expected evidence. I think it is more complex.

no, he heads back to edmonchuck and I'm back to work. I could phone him but as mentioned above, I'm not a phone'y guy (not a catcher in the rye reference). just to get a feeling of what he may have been like even in a work related scope would be interesting. next month the meet & greet is in dedmonton, so i'll wait till then.

We (the public, who aren't friends with KL) should keep in mind, we might not being seeing everything she posts on her FB.
She might've posted it and we just can't see it. FB has gotten ridiculously tricky and sneaky with privacy settings. When you think some posts are private they're not and vice versa.
I have my settings rigged so only certain friends of mine see photos of my child, and I know other people who don't know how to use the settings and their children's photos are all public (so anyone on FB can see, scary!). The posts I see of KL's seem non-personal, promotional and generic, so she might've changed privacy setting for more personal posts. Could be a reason...

Maybe they felt it could be too distracting to socialize with friends. Maybe if they knew everyone attending they would feel badly taking money from them in exchange for used furniture. I do wonder who else in the circle of friends and family were aware of it. My parents would have made me and my siblings assist with the attendees and help move out furniture or even offer to deliver to someone who may have not had a mode of transportation.

Very good point. If it was advertised on FB LE would have had a larger pool of people to verify if they attended. It was not mentioned as part of the advertising on MSM.
Another thought about secure FB accts. is that most would secure the "friends" list as well. KL has an open list in that regard.

I don't know how many ways I can say it, but no one has said the victims are alive, and no one has said LE is incompetent. I ask for links, proof... anything... and it never comes... just the insistence that somebody somewhere said it.
Sleuthing the possibilities is just that. Sleuthing the possibilities... it is no different than what a judge or jury may have to consider if this goes to trial. Is there a reasonable doubt one or more of the victims could be alive... is there a reasonable doubt DG is the perp, or did he have an accomplice, or was he involved at all...
I sense cognitive dissonance alright, mixed with a healthy dose of superiority complex. Something as simple as bringing up examples of previous faked deaths is not an indictment of LE or the victims... it's a simple discussion tool and a chance to educate yourself on the subject.
I thought the whole discussion was pretty darned interesting... and shockingly... I don't think the victims are alive, or that LE is incompetent. I'm also, however, open to the possibly that I could be completely wrong.
