Nothing to report today.
It's not as cold- 36 degrees, no snow- I'll take that. :)

There is this tho' about another mitigation specialist:

Arizona Legal Worker Accused of Helping Mexican Mafia Killer

"...The family claims that Mukavetz was assigned to perform capital mitigation tasks for Rene Durgin, aka "Lokon," who was in jail on first-degree murder charges involving the robbery of a Glendale car wash in 2010....

Mukavetz visited Durgin in jail, talked to him on the phone, "operated social media sites with him and on his behalf, and was directly responsible for conducting illicit Mexican Mafia business on his behalf, including securing the release on bail in October of 2012 of Durgin's soldier Bobby Hoover at Durgin's behest," the Stair family claims in the lawsuit...."

Better watch out MDLR- you might be next. :giggle:

Something to read/think about with your coffee/tea this AM:

Should we hold psychologists/psychiatrists accountable/liable for their patients?

Psychiatric Liability: A French Psychiatrist Sentenced After a Murder Committed by Her Patient

"...Despite “an escalation of acts of aggression, of increasing severity” perpetrated by the patient while he was in treatment, “Dr Canarelli remained stubbornly attached to her treatment approach and ignored such obvious alarm signals. She did not question her methodology or change her approach, thus creating or helping to create the situation that led to the realization of the crime.”...
The court found a clear discrepancy between the mental disorder meticulously described by the doctors who recommended “hospitalization without consent,” and the therapeutic approach adopted by Dr Canarelli....

LOVE this version of Mack the knife! Been on my ipod forever! Also like Louis Armstrong version as well

Just some thoughts this AM:

The defense is claiming that missy:jail: cannot get a fair trial because of the media and they are causing problems for their defense of her.
If the jurors are the only ones to convict her at this time of either life or death, and they are not looking on social media, they don't know anything that is going on behind the trial with the media . It's not logical to say the media is causing all the problems, IMO.

The defense claims that their mitigation witnesses will not testify for missy:jail: because of the media coverage and they're afraid. Afraid of what? That JM will cross-examine them and all the lies that they are bringing to the table will be revealed by him? That's why they are afraid , IMO. They may get slammed on social media as ALV and Samuels did, but that's because both ALV and Samuels were so obviously biased for missy :jail:- "experts" who were supposed to be un-biased and just give their professional opinion (like Demarte did).

Are these some of missy's:jail: potential mitigation "witnesses"?

Steve Copeland (hiking)
Richard Molay (referred her to Ventana)
Michele (signed her up to Pre-Paid Legal)
Lenore (in carpool to 1st convention)
Dave (executive director PPL)
Kit Crum (karate instructor)

For me the thing about this wingnut is her cray- cray view.

She wasnt his girlfriend. They never lived together. The really short duration of the entire r/s. Her snooping/ hacking into his phone computer and life. None of which were any of her business by any stretch of imagination. Her univited continued presence in his life. Her attempts to hijack his social circle. The spying the excessive calls/ texts . The thefts the lies. The refusal to turn loose let go and move on.
The nicer Travis was the more she took advantage ; so abnormal - just off the chart.
This loser nobody acted out some delusional retribution for crimes that NEVER occurred. Its outrageous horrifying and beyond reason.
She has more than earned a death sentence by her behavior and actions.

When I'm in wait mode (washer/dryer/spouse whatever). I play Juan's closing argument for the sole purpose of watching Jodi's facial expressions. Juan was masterful and every time he bangs on one of her lies, her reaction is hilarious. Especially in the rebuttal where she keeps shaking her head noooooooo. It makes me laugh every time!

Her attorneys are afraid that their defense will be scrutinized for years to come, and I believe it will be and it is their own fault. They let JA change her stories how many times. Everything they fail at they blame Juan and everyone else who has watched or heard of this trial. Social media was clearly their doing and JA loves the media. They put "expert" witnesses on the stand who have absolutely no credentials.
I can't wait for the jury to read all 17 reasons the judge gave why she turned down their motions. Regardless if JA gets DP or LWOP the defense team has every reason to worry about being scrutinized for years to come. JMO

Jodi Arias Review

"Apparently the State of Arizona is still debating what to do about executing her. For what it’s worth I do agree about one thing with Kirk Nurmi, Jodi Arias’ lawyer: it’s never going to happen.

But first, a cautionary tale...."

Did you check out the "comments" ? Interesting discussion.

Reposting a comment I put up over on the BK site, they were talking TV shows.

"I don't watch MS television, even though the BF has his DTV in the living room.

"True Detective" is good. (HBO/HBO Go) I'm going to miss Harrelson and McConauhey, the 2nd season has Colin Farrel and Vince Vaughn as the lead detectives, not too shabby.

Netflix has AMC's "The Killing", a lot of twists and turns. I'd like to find the original Danish version at some point.

"The Fall", a Netflix Original with Gillian Anderson, set in Ireland (2 seasons, cliffhanger end at season 2, so there's got to be another season forthcoming! Nothing actually set in stone yet).

Another really good crime thriller/detective series is "The Bridge", ("Broen", "Bron") (2 seasons, Hulu Plus I believe, 3rd season started production the end of 2014) the Scandinavian original if you don't mind subtitles. Incredibly good. It's nothing like the American version, which I was enthused about watching but it bombed as far as I was concerned.

"How to Get Away with Murder" has me hooked! I was able to watch from the beginning, but it's not hard to be sucked into it even if you can't watch the 1st 4 episodes.

And if you haven't checked out "Luther" from BBC (Amazon Prime), do it! Another is "Sherlock"."

There's some good ones in there! Still waiting for the new season of "Dr, Who", lol!

Casey Anthony thread is still open so this one may stay open awhile, too.

Theres an epiphany. We can leave the title the way it is. LOL :)

I've really enjoyed this thread and thanks to everyone for allowing me to partake. I would love to be able to come back here even after trial is finally over. We always manage to bring up interesting topics and can even share about some other threads.

On another note along these lines, I told myself and promised to Travis that I would keep my avatar until I know Missy is being escorted to her new crib. I may finally get to change my Avatar someday soon but Travis will never be forgotten.

BBM I don't waste my time reading anything that GB from Great Britain has to say anymore.

Caylee's Sidebar isn't open tho'- it's under "review" (whatever that means) and has been for a while now- and it also says that it's been "moved" (I don't know where???).

I will ask if this thread can stay open for awhile. There will be plenty to discuss. This retrial and the original trial with all the YouTube videos of the court sessions will want to be viewed by many and then commented on. The release of the sidebar discussions, which I hope we will get to see many will want to read here. At least the important ones would be nice if they were released.

Morning everyone!

I, too, am glad this thread will stay open, as we will have a LOT to discuss :gathering: when this trial is FINALLY finished, and the Jury sentences her to death :judge: :happydance: as we will finally "see" :findinglink: all the "secret" stuff that went on during trial!!

Not much happening here - I'll be putting on a :cheesehead: hat for this afternoon's first game (for non-football fans - that's a "Cheese Head" hat for Green Bay fans!!)

Watching downhill skiing right now! :Banane49: from Wengen, Switzerland. My cousin came in 10th yesterday in the 2-man bobsled... BUT the other Latvian team came in 2nd! :sleigh:

Okay - off to read other threads!

Take care everyone! :seeya:

Good afternoon everyone. May I come in?

Everyone's welcome here :)

http://www.delawareonline.com/story...ts-shots-fired-near-joe-bidens-home/21954853/

I am still reeling from the news that shots were fired in the direction of my friend Jill's home. In this article, you can see the area in front of their home. The silver SUV parked horizontally blocks the view of their home, but is the area where the Secret Service sit. When I went over once, I was taking an orchid and 2 Key Lime pies. The SS wanded me, the orchid and the pies to make sure there were no explosive devices therein.

WOW! In 5 -12 years, the current protected range area of the Mexican wolf will cover my county! Az Game and Fish just got a proposal approved. Been a long road, but hopefully they'll make a comeback. Very exciting!
