So if the murder did not take place at this site, and this is considered to be a dump site, then maybe the victim was driving the car when he picked up the killer who was hitchhiking.

I'm sorry, but need to find out if this car was related to the victim and why was it hidden

This would explain why the dog would have been dumped as well. If the dog is related to the victim .

The owner of the car was located in another state but I don't think they could rule out that the car was not related.

Can you tell us what month/year the tag expired on the car? Curious if it was expired by the time that it was found...

That's the part I'm struggling with. Does the owner say he does not know how the car got there ? Did he say he sold the car ? Did he say it was stolon? I just find it odd that the car was found near the dump site and it look like someone tried to hide it. Also if the dog was involved that would explain how it got there too

Were his hands and feet cut off or missing due to animals eating them? If they were cut off, isn't that like cartel stuff? Were there signs they were active in the US back in the early 90s like this?

This would be more "casino country", kwim? Not to say cartels weren't active or anything, I have no idea about that. I don't get a casino connection feeling here either, just saying.

To focus on the car that was called in by an anonymous subject (strange coincidence, which I rarely believe in), it was placed in such a way to be considered "hidden".

That's what I'm curious about. It doesn't seem like he or his car was cleared. Did they note deception or did he not have a good explanation of why the car was there? Is he employed in a field that the tarp would have come from?

This "Campsite" was not a campsite at all. It was originally described as such, but it doesn't appear from what was recovered that it was actually a campsite at all. It is our theory that what was once thought to be a campsite might possibly be a blanket that was used to carry/conceal/wrap our subject in and other "typical desert trash" that is common in the area.

Why Wellington? On mapquest it looks like some rural desert area. There are highways and an interstate in the area according to the map but it doesn't look like it's an easy place for someone to get to in order to dump a body. It is possible though since the hands and feet where missing (and presumably cut off?)and they apparently didn't want the person found or identified. But it just seems really off the beaten track as they say.

Would the dog who may be associated with the decedent, be considered a German Sheppard- Husky mix?

I think it would be possible, but his head and muzzle might be a bit broad. I am thinking maybe a chow and husky or malamute mix. He was a lovely dog, wasn't he? I hope someone took him in.

I've searched the ends of the internet for a shirt with this same design, and I've found every combination of a Hawk and sun, except this one, it seems, ugh.

If the hands and feet were cut off and not just lost post mortem, shouldn't there be some "tool marks" from where they were removed?

I would love to know the owner of the car's explanation of why he left the car there.

Was the car searched for any forensic evidence? If the victim was killed elsewhere and transferred to that location in that car, or even killed in that car, seems like there would deff be some blood.

And it would be interesting to know what the owner of that car did for work back then.

Why would someone report a body and want to be anonymous? If the same anonymous person reported the car then it could be the killer.

But why would the killer do such a thing?

I thought that as well. What a pretty dog.

Well, I'm thinking that if the car had been wiped down like no prints on the wheel, then I would have to think: RELATED

but now that I've learned that an unknown person called about the body and car, I'm thinking the car has to be related.

The dog and collar, that kinda brings it in too

I would want to know how much gas was in the tank of this car. If a car sits for awhile, how much gas evaporates? Since the car was abandoned, either the person who left it there either had to have a way to walk away or else ride away. Did someone else give the person who abandoned it a lift back? If so, there would have to be two people involved. If someone says to me, "I am going to abandon a car and then I want you do give me a life back," I am going to want to know why that person would want to do such an odd thing.

Guilt maybe. Maybe someone connected actually wanted the body found or the perp held to account. On the other, had some people just don't like to get involved. Maybe the person who called in had a warrant.

There has to be some prints somewhere on or in this car. Also dog hair.

Had the car been cleaned?

If you guys are saying you don't know if the car is related or not, then I'm assuming is was cleaned, so therefore RELATED

The car is the key

Here is an unusual scenario but anything is possible...

What if the person who owned this car had broken down and flagged someone down for help and murdered them and stole their vehicle? Just a possibility, people kill over much less than a vehicle, after all.
