It was our first attempt at raising them. We learned a lot about them. Unfortunately, we also learned about predators. Luckily 1 of them is still with us though. We have 1 neat adult male left from these 3. He is a funny bird.

This year, we ended up getting 6 more to give him company so now we have 7 of them running around.

Someday, I will try to get new pictures of them.

Bringing this over from the last thread.........
Lol! Tupperware totes, that's definitely the way to go for young poultry. I get the semi clear ones (Sterilite makes some big ones/Walmart) for early brooding, cut a hole in the lid for an aluminum utility light shield and 75-100 watt bulb, and use a 1" auger bit to run a series of holes across the top of the container's sides. Easy to clean, easy to store, cat proof, and when they wear out, just throw them away.

Ahhhhh

Good morning Sidebar Friends!
:loveyou:
Got a new carpet shampooer and used it for first time this morning. Just finished cleaning my bedroom and hallway carpeting and plan to do a room or two at a time over the next few days.

Watching the Holmes trial and following the WS thread. To make following the thread easier, I've had to block most posters except the wonderful WS friends who post tweets and a few other good buddies.

I have to leave for a few hours and you all disappear on me. :shame:.

What a fantastic feast, Harmony! Thank you very much... yumm yummm!

This is one tired gal. Gonna try to sneak in a little nap with the pups. Hope everyone is having a good day.

We have a homeless problem here - but they are building or I should re-building one of the old jails into a homeless shelter; and meanwhile they are all camping out on a section of grass in front of the County Administration building...

coffeejunkie - but what about neighborhood cats??
cat-smiley.gif
- aren't you afraid they might get the nest on the railing?? That is one unusual place for a nest!

Hi Zuri!! and Spellbound!!

Not actually watching the Holmes trial - too painful to listen to them - but reading the tweets!
computer-man-smiley.gif

Canadian woman convicted of having sex on a plane

"A Canadian woman realized her desire to join the "Mile High Club," but this membership has no privileges.

Alicia Elizabeth Lander, 26, was convicted Wednesday of committing an indecent act in public, assaulting a police officer, causing a disturbance and causing mischief to property.

The charges followed her arrest last year for engaging in a sexual act on board an Air Canada flight bound for Halifax...."
