Found Deceased MI - Omarion Humphrey, 8, Lake Callis, 4 Jul 2015

Reading how the teachers at school bathed and dressed little Omarion reminded me of the story of sweet little Relisha Rudd, also failed by so many. I have a friend who teaches severe/profound students at a public school and she has a set of parents who've sent their child back to school the next day in the same diaper he went home in the afternoon before (multiple times!). Heartbreaking, especially when the handwriting is on the wall :(

I don't have a favorable opinion of the biological parents, but I support their feelings about Omarion's body having been found in the lake:

...After he was found Friday, his parents, Kisha and Jamell Humphrey, said they don't believe he was in the lake for six days.

"I was here. They dredged the lake, I watched them do it six times. They did it three times with dive teams and three times with sonar," said Jamell. "I walked around for the first couple days my heart was all over the place, hoping that they wouldn't find him. But if he was in there I would want him found as early as possible. I'm on the same page as my wife. I don't think he was in there for six days."

Kisha Humphrey said someone must have brought him back to the lake.

"They waited for the efforts to be scaled back ... and they went an they put him there," she said

Surely he couldn't have drowned while people were still there and playing in the water before the search began...makes no sense! Have to impatiently wait. Jmo

Drowning is a silent death :(

Autopsy. Will show this.

There are no lifeguards at Callis Lake. There is a sign that says to beware of the deep drop off and the undertow, also signs saying that there are no lifeguards. The staff at the park/lake is college kids. They put out an ad months ago for college kids to apply for the positions at the lake. Even the manager is a young kid. The news said it was a little girl that first saw the body when she saw his feet at the top of the water. Locals that were there said they evacuated the park before the body was removed from the water so that no one could see anything. A black hearse from a funeral home came and took the body escorted by police officers. I hope the autopsy results are in by the press conference tomorrow afternoon.

well, as someone who has 'almost' drowned many times (I can think of 4 right off the top of my head - 2 at the beach, 1 in a wave pool, 1 in a static pool), I can tell you that I was not silent 3 of those times [yes I am aware I should stay away from water]

however I do realize little Omarion probably didn't make any noise (I hated typing that)

That's why I'm not making any determination about whether or not Omarion was a drowning victim or if his body was placed in the water post-mortem. I think the latter is entirely possible. :moo:

RIP Omarion.

I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that this would be the outcome. No matter how many times they said they cleared the lake, I knew he was in there. I won't believe LE cleared anything bigger than a kiddie pool, ever. There are just too many cases where they say "the [body of water] is cleared" and then, lo and behold, days, weeks, months, years later they find the missing person in there.

but in that time, they could've taken him far, far away & placed him in another body of water - why wait (all the while risking being caught) & return to the same spot unless it's some kind of sick game

Then you didn't almost drown, you were in distress.

To make it look like an accidental drowning due to lack of supervision by the foster parents. I have some thoughts about what happened here... :moo:

This is how lifeguards know they don't have to worry so much about the kids who are thrashing about and screaming but to pay attention to someone quietly struggling and slipping beneath the surface.

Horses= accidentally drowning due to lack of supervision by foster parents. Zebras= kidnapped in front of dozens of people, murdered, returned to lake amid dozens and dozens of people.

I was trying to make some sense of this and feeling so badly that Omarian's brief life ended like this when I realized he was having fun that day. it sounds like he was really enjoying himself at the splash pad especially (he had to keep coming back from there.) I'm going to think of him that way, happy and carefree instead of remembering him as someone who was failed or abused.

Yes. And some kids are born with survival skills, and some aren't. And some are born into very caring families who are watchful and focused. And some aren't.

This poor boy had neither advantage.

During their interviews with the biological and foster families, I hope authorities determined everyone's alibi - where they were, with whom, what they were doing, etc. during the time that the foster family was at Lake Callis with Omarion. Besides the foster parents, who knew that Omarion would be at the Davison area park on July 4? Hopefully, authorities cross-checked and verified everyone's whereabouts during that time.

I didnt want to be right on this case. Like I said--- Autism= water and he has been failed many times in life. It is not hard for me to believe he was missed in the searches, which is why I took that with a large grain of salt. My reasoning?- it is real scientific--- I cant find the soap when my little drops it in the tub!!! LOL. It is clear to me that water moves things and as you look one place it pushes that bar of soap to a place you just checked.
