JSO searching for child missing from Fort Caroline home

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for your help tracking down a child and vehicle missing from a Fort Caroline home that is the scene of a homicide investigation, police said Tuesday night.

The Sheriff's Office was previously called to a home in the 11500 block of Monument Ridge Drive Tuesday afternoon, where investigators report they found a woman dead.

A woman was found dead in an Arlington home Tuesday and investigators believe a 14-year-old who lives at the home is missing and possibly suicidal after the incident, police said. A family member alerted authorities about 2:30 p.m. after finding the body inside the home in the 11500 block of Monument Ridge Drive, Sgt. Craig Waldrup said. Mitchell Evan Daughtry, who is possibly deaf, is missing along with a 2007 Volvo sport-utility vehicle, police said. Foul play is suspected in the death of the woman, whose body was found by a family member, Sgt. Craig Waldrup told reporters Tuesday afternoon.

It's not yet clear exactly how long the woman had been there, Sgt. Waldrup said.

A vehicle belonging at the home, described as a 2007 pale green Volvo SC90 SUV carrying the Florida tag 162 WUL, is also believed to be missing, according to JSO. The vehicle has a dented front right bumper and several back window stickers, including a pink Harley Davidson, a peace sign and a Flagler College lion.

They have not said who the female is or if he is a suspect, so far.

The woman has not been identified. Neighbors said she was divorced with children, including a deaf teen with red hair.

I never understand why they give us so few details in these probable murder-suicide cases. Shouldn't the public know if the teen is not just suicidal but homicidal as well? Also, how is it so hard to figure out if the child is deaf or not?

His most recent post is very sad and disturbing. Eleven hours ago (around noon EST) he says, "I f'd up big this time" and a bunch of his friends respond. I'm not sure this is going to end well for frosty.
