I kind of think the landlord asked Can i go see MY place -- and in his brillance he decided to let the global media in for a party. I cannot help but think that the FBI when they saw it happening they wigged.
ONe expert on CNN said that he started trembling when he saw what was happening

This IMO was no way sanctioned by anyone in LE

bizaire -- hey I wanted to see , but my first thought was got it looks like the line waiting for a new Disney ride or a blockbuster opening!!

someone misunderstood something

I think IF LE/FBI did not want media/public inside, crime scene tape would have been in place

No misunderstanding IMO by landlord

When the FBI is finished executing a search warrant and/or processing a crime scene and they have taken everything they need for their investigation they are required by law to leave a written inventory of items removed, seal the property and return it to the lawful owner. At that point the owner can do whatever he or she wants to do with it...oh say invite the media in for a meet and greet, for $$ of course. That is what appears to have occurred in this case. People will try to make a buck off of anything, jmo and smh

I cannot believe that the crime scene was released and every one is going in and out. Since NO ONE is stopping the public I believe and IMO that this is exactly what the administration, FBI and police and other agencies, home and foreign, wanted to happen. The site was released way to early, the documents laying around should have been confiscated even if another search warrant had to be issued plus other items I saw laying around....something stinks stronger then a skunk to me.

There was a lady with a dog and a mom with an infant!!! Maybe she was looking for some free dog food or free formula

the refridge was open

How is that possible? There was no finger print dust anywhere, didn't they dust for prints? How would they process a crime scene of this magnitude in a day?? It takes much longer to do the average murder scene.

What about all of the papers left there? That would be vital evidence should any co-conspirators go to trial!

Course maybe that was the whole freaking point.

Agree. There was a fatal shooting at a local gas station a year or so ago. The service station and adjacent parking area was cordoned with yellow police tape, and the business remained closed for several months during the course of the investigation. I don't think a suspect has ever been apprehended. Gas station has since reopened.

Where are you all hearing that the landlord was paid $ ?

.......it all seems so disrespectful towards those who died ......

What if there was a photo of the infant around?

It was disturbing seeing toys, a crib, etc.

I don't blame media nor the landlord, I fault LE for what occurred. Apartment should have been secured!

I don't understand why their home wasn't secured and considered evidence? Something strange going on here.

That place is chock-a-block with potential evidence. Just take that closet. I'd want to know where she bought every single piece of clothing! So many "leads" there! All the papers? I mean, did the FBI scan everything? Why didn't they basically cart the whole scene away in boxes? I don't get it. Yeah, you'd think it was a massive conspiracy to downplay the enormous horror of what happened.

Thanks. Anyone have any longer clips? I turned on the t.v. too late, I guess. Haven't seen any of the stuff people are talking about.

you will have no problem seeing it CNN will be playing it until Christmas in high rotation- like a hot new Taylor Swift single!!

presser cnn

I think everyone is just assuming. I haven't seen anything official.

Don't know why he wants to brag about having rented to the two of them.

The FBI spent 24 hours there. Small place. Seems they are spending much more time in the garage. I'm sure they took everything and anything they needed. Papers may be nothing more than every day bills etc. Maybe the landlord did a bit of a clean up? Just speculating on papers and fingerprint dust etc.

I walk back and forth to work here in NYC. Will take Metro North tonight. Will be interesting to see if there's additional armed presence there, and bomb sniffing dogs, too.

Be safe!

Why wasn't there any finger print dust? Surely they dusted EVERYTHING and compared the prints to people on the watch list, right?

It seems very obvious to me that they don't plan to look for, much less charge any possible co-conspirators.

I really want to offer prayers for safe travel to all of our fellow WebSleuthers that are travelling this holiday season. It makes me beyond sad that you have to worry and fear what should be a joyous trip. Don't let them win. This is what terror is. Being home unfortunately doesn't secure your safety anymore either. So I wish you travellers a safe. Happy. Trip.

Thank you. I'm usually not one to let things like this stop me from traveling, but we have decided to stay here in the U.S. to celebrate. We will go to London again sometime when things settle down. I can't picture us seeing the sites, riding The Tube and not feeling anxious. I'm betting we'd be fine, but we will have fun here in the US. Wishing everyone happiness and safe travels!

Terrorist baby crib! Terrorist tea pot! Ebay sale! That landlord can fund his retirement, sell this hellhole, and move someplace nice and quiet.

John Passantino tweet: "CNN reporters outside San Bernardino killers' home says landlord was escorted away by law enforcement, put into unmarked vehicle."

Police cheif has just grown on me !!
