Now we shall see what American Justice is made of. Call me a cynic, but I am not very hopeful this perv will spend ONE night behind bars. Settle out of court, fines, probation. Hope the system proves me wrong.

Attorneys for Cosby said in a statement that the charge by the DA's office "came as no surprise."
The charge "filed 12 years after the alleged incident and coming on the heels of a hotly contested election for this county's DA during which this case was made the focal point," the statement said. "Make no mistake, we intend to mount a vigorous defense against this unjustified charge and we expect that Mr. Cosby will be exonerated by a court of law."
Can he settle it out of court a SECOND time?
The victim he is charged with is one who already settled with him out of court.
That is how the information about the meds came to light, when those depos were released.
Re: the legally blind claims, his right eye does look weird.
Here's a list of the accusers, hopefully somewhat up to date.

It's some kind of accomplishment when Buzzfeed publishes things like that. 25 beautiful wedding cakes, 9 things you will lose in 2016, 13 products for people who love poodles, 25 rude texts from your insomnia, 50 women that Bill Cosby raped...
I am sure he will try to put on his best performance ever in front of the jury, and pretend he is pushing 90 or 100 instead of 78.
IMO
Greeting: He looked far different than the man who needed a cane and had to be escorted into court and up into his car just an hour before
The DM article that Blondie linked seems to be implying that his ability to walk improved on the way home from the court. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...al-assault-Andrea-Constand.html#ixzz3vqfeR6KT
You can't settle criminal charges out of court. He settled with the victim in a civil case.
I guess there's a chance he might try a plea deal, but I can't see prosecutors going for that.
Could be cataracts. Easily corrected. I had cataracts in both eyes at age 48 (probably from cortico-steroidal asthma medications). Surgical procedure to remove cataracts with lens replacement. Improved my vision so it was no longer necessary to wear contacts, and I only need glasses for distance (mostly driving).
From the time victims started coming forward, and when Gloria Allred arrived on the scene, it was never about a conventional prosecution of a rapist. It was about changing rape culture and writing a new script for how rape cases are approached, especially when the rapist is a Teflon-coated celebrity.
As always, all this is IMO.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see BC go down for a long time for what he has done. But in my opinion, a plea deal would be a huge victory. BC's rep is already in tatters, but there are still some hangers-on, die-hard fans and conspiracy theorists who believe in his innocence. A plea deal, in which he is forced to make a full statement to his crime would be fantastic. I think it would be a victory for every victim who has come forward and faced criticism and disbelief. Who cares if he goes to jail for 10 years or 1? He's not going to survive 10 years. He's old. For me, to hear BC say yes, I slipped her this drug, and when she was incapacitated by this drug, I had non-consensual sexual contact with her, I would be pretty satisfied with that outcome.
